RE: Experiences buying from xheli.

I'll throw in my two cents worth on my experience with Xheli. Great prices, fast shipping, complete order, nothing damaged. I could not have been happier with my Xheli experience and will order...

Thanks for the information,
I tried the wing attachment outlined above and it was easier to do than to read! Thanks DLD! dgliderguy, I found one article about the Thermal Grabber and it looks...

Glider ID and questions

Hi everyone,
I was given a glider by a friend, who had no information about it himself, it was given to him, and was told it was a slope glider. I have never flown gliders before, but have...

RE: Duel Rates

Scottarowe,
try moving the rod closer in (closer to the controlled surface) on the control horns, that should give you more travel.

RE: How good is this motor?

That is a brushed motor, correct?
You could do quite a bit better with a brushless. I have never had that particular motor, but have never been a fan of Wattage stuff in general.

RE: Question about radio's

I wouldn't think so. I don't know a lot about the Honeybee stuff, bust most micro heli's have a 4-in-1 unit, which is basically a receiver, two speed controls and a gyro all in one package, and some...

RE: If you owned my Brand Name, would you....

My opinion,
If you can offer a good product at good prices and have good, prompt service, the market remains open. It seems a lot of vendors are able to offer maybe two out of the three, but...

RE: Self locking servo

I would think you would need a worm drive of some sort, while a worm drive CAN be moved, it isn't easy at all. I don't know if anyone makes one, but I'm sure a custom gearbox is available somewhere,...

RE: Hitec Servos & Futaba Receiver?

Awesome!
The next time you buy a receiver, give the berg 7 a look, really small, light, full range and auto shift detect, plus it's programmable from your computer.

RE: What is "offset"?

Bent on an angle. Usually (depending on the airplane) just a degree or two is good. Usually a thin washer behind the motor mount "lugs" top and bottom (left side from the "pilots perspective), will...

RE: li poly on stock stryker

Your wouldn't fry your Stryker, you'd fry the batteries. 10C discharge on a 1250mAh battery is 12.5 amps. With the amps that BgCatfish1 has stated, you would be stressing the batteries too hard.

RE: Quivering Aleron's ???

Which Cub (size-wise)? I'm assuming at $38 a piece, the servo's are full size. I don't know much about the Spektrum radios, on whether you can use full size servo's (or digital servo's for that...

RE: Quivering Aleron's ???

You say servo's as in plural, does it have more than one aileron servo? If so try unplugging one of the servo's, test it, then the other, if you have a Y connector check that, make sure everything...

RE: Medical Accident Over The Weekend

Which brings up another thing,
My tx has a throttle lock button, which helps somewhat, but it only takes a tap to "unlock" the throttle again. Maybe a small change to a button that you need to...

RE: Quivering Aleron's ???

Try switching the servo plugs, swap the aileron plug with the elevator or rudder plug at the reciever and see if the aileron servo still twitches or if it makes the other control surface twitch, that...

RE: i just want to gripe

I would agree,
and I'm OK with that to a point, I like an ARF just fine, but I really like to build, however, the availability of kits are getting less and less. I've spoken to a few guys that...

RE: Confused on hooking up the ESC and Battery

Actually,
the receiver gets it's power from the esc, provided the esc has a bec (battery eliminator circuit). So the battery connects to the esc, the esc connects to the motor, and a seperate set...

RE: New Electric ... what is it?

You can use either, it's somewhat dependent on the Speed control, you need to have one that is set up for LiPo's if you are going to use them , a speed control for nimh's will work with LiPo's, but...
