RE: Baby Edge on electric

Hiya TF,

Mate, I know I'm jumping in late here but I'm keen to give it a go (if you still have a few setups available). Slight problem - I live in Australia. I know there is a Desert Aircraft...

RE: Australian Barbeque and Beers Part V

Ha,

Already tried tactfully MC and met with a stony wall of silence. Funny all this talk about float planes.... I drive past a big lake everyday, this morning it was glassy smooth. I thought...

RE: Australian Barbeque and Beers Part V

MC,

A smaller battery will make a difference if you can get CoG (maybe why it had the linkages for pull-pull on the rudder?). Throw in a hi C rated 2200mAh and see what happens.

RE: Australian Barbeque and Beers Part V

It just seems strange to me that PA, who have built a name for top notch quality and innovation recommend Blue Bird Servo's. Two of my servo's buzz, jitter occasionally and don't centre very well....

RE: Australian Barbeque and Beers Part V

Rowdy,

I like it, kind of reminds me of the Corby Starlet. Nice and big too! Could be expensive to convert to electric though. I always fall into the trap of going "oh yeah it's only $100 for...

RE: Australian Barbeque and Beers Part V

Wooah!

What are the chances of that happening. If you'd video'd it you coulda made $500 from Funniest Home videos. As soon as I read you were using the BlueBird servo's I was thinking.....hmmm I...

RE: Australian Barbeque and Beers Part V

That's scary Andrew,

Is this the guy with the amazing scale touches to his plane, like the brass attachments, cockpit detail etc? A true work of art. I just can't figure out why someone with...

RE: Australian Barbeque and Beers Part V

I don't think a mark up of $3.50 is too bad V8,

Considering no postage (negated by petrol I suppose) and being able to return the prop if it's no good, given they have to pay rent, wages, super...

RE: Australian Barbeque and Beers Part V

Hiya Tom,

Are you using the standard motor? I put a 1500 mAh 3S lipo in mine, anythign around that size will work well, just make sure you keep the correct CoG so it balances right. The 3 cell...

RE: Australian Barbeque and Beers Part V

I hear ya' Oz....

Spent an hour and a half on the DR 1, all that's left is to install the electrics and screw in the struts. After about 30 minutes I had the bottom wing installed, all control...

RE: Australian Barbeque and Beers Part V

After watching the video I thought so too. The second flight I moved the battery pack forwards, helped smooth the flight characteristics a bit more so I suspect it was a touch tail heavy. After...

Heya Boys,

Took the Tiger Moth out after the repairs this morning. A bit peeved actually, I only got 9 minutes of flight before the motor stopped. Luckily I was facing the wind at the time (this...

3DHS are having a sale on their planes. Sure is telling about the US economy when even a company with such a rabid following is feeling the pinch. A little bit more patience and the Aussie...

Nice Lexus Mong, they are a smooth machine and full of very impressive techno bits - hate to have to try and fix it out of the warranty period.

RE: Australian Barbeque and Beers Part V

Bud,

How about a E-flite mini pulse XT? Yeah I know it's balsa, but is solid and is a real 'convertible'- that is it can fly slowly and then up the control throw rates and its fairly spritely....
