I am in the process of restoring an old F4U Corsair that has a built up fuse and a foam core wing with balsa sheeting. It was originaly painted which made it real heavy. I am sanding off the paint....

Krylon (I think it is) makes a paint specfically for foam. Do not use the standard aerosol paint. It will melt your plane.
