Old bloke returns...

Hi every one!

I've been away from RC cars for about 20 years, but as my little boy is now old enough to be showing an interest, I thought it would be a good excuse to get back into it myself :-)

RE: CDI conversion for GX 25

Thanks very much! I saw this thread before. I guess what I was hoping to find was an 'off the shelve' solution for a GX25. I think I'll stick with the flywheel/magneto system for the time being. :-)

Hi all,

I've sent a couple of e-mails to them in the last week asking if they'd ship a prop adapter to the UK for me. I've not had any replies. It may be because they don't ship outside of the...

RE: Honda GX25 - Self tapping screws?

Thanks. It looks as though the threads are standard fine threads, just that the screws cut them as there is a lot of swarf in there.

Hi,

I've done a lot of research about getting rid of the magneto ignition on this and replacing it with an electronic system. I can't seem to see a definative way forward though. Is there an...

Honda GX25 - Self tapping screws?

Hi there,

I am converting a Honda GX 25 and have come across what appear to be a few semi-self tapping M5 bolts. The first few turns of the thread at the tip and seem to be serrated. I've not...

RE: Boomerang Sprint Build Thread!

thanks for your replies!

Dave, the plan is to fly from my local field which is a grass patch 70x70 yds. Not ideal I know but it's what we've got and I like it there :-) I haven't had any fixed...

RE: popping at idle

Thanks for you replies. It has never been up to high power so maybe when it does, it'll clear the tubes out!

Best wishes,

RE: Running P80SE without receiver?

Thanks KC36330,

Certainly no mention of it anywhere in my manual, I guess they've taken it out. I was cautious about starting it up like this unless I could be sure of shutting it down safely! I...

RE: Cutting the MB body - Post pics...

Do you think there is any chance it will still do wheelies with the standard pipe? My engine is a 26cc one and it is well run-in and tuned. It is fun having that acceleration on hand from a stand...

It's an FG 3 piece pipe going under a Monster Beetle body. It looks like I won't have to cut too much... Having said that, I might just stick to the standard exhaust for the time being!
