I had that problem too, all you have to trim is where the out drive goes into the differential on both halves upper and lower (Shown in the pic) so it spins freely. Oh and im also using a Tamiya 7.2V...

If you wanted to put an O.S. motor in or any other motor for that matter you need to get the Pro engine mounts to make it work with a starter box, because the stock mounts are taller to accomodate...

Thanks guys I think I will go with the RC18T because of what you said and the 10 hr. charger is no problem because I have a Super Brain 959 which is a great charger. Thanks for your help.
