RE: Slo-V Aerobatics? Here's a video to answer your question.

Hello Armin_T,

Just some further tips that have helped me understand flying. When turning your plane, be aware that once you initiate a turn, the plane will naturally keep turning even as you...

RE: Video from a Slo-V?

Don't really know what to recommend there. I haven't tried using other batteries yet, but wouldn't be a bad idea to try.

RE: Any night fliers out there?

Well, I have not had a chance to try to get some better video to show you. The range is much better than a 50mW cam that I've had before, but the signal can be interfered by things. I tried to get...

RE: Any night fliers out there?

A whole family in their pajamas once went out of their house to go the the park and search out that UFO only to find out that it was me. They were relieved that it wasn't alien and were actually...

RE: Any night fliers out there?

Oh wow...thanks for the info tclaridge! That will definately free up a lot of weight. The 9V battery made the plane fly even slower than I could ever imagine. I will try that out.

RE: Slo-V Aerobatics? Here's a video to answer your question.

Thanks!

I really want to emphasize that you should do the night flying when you're very good at keeping the plane close and knowing how fast your plane can make tight turns. Don't let the...

RE: Slo-V Aerobatics? Here's a video to answer your question.

Night flying with my Slo-V is one of my favorite activities. Yes, the stars as the background and catching sight of "shooting stars" during meteor showers is quite an experience!

Hey Armin_T,...

RE: Slo-V Aerobatics? Here's a video to answer your question.

Hello Armin_T,

Glad to the video helped. I personally wouldn't go for "spray" application for the lube and I've never used silicon based so I can't really say for sure. You just want to get it...

RE: Any night fliers out there?

Do a search on ebay for ZT-802. Make sure it says 200mW in the description. There's a 50mW version under the same model number and has less range.

RE: Any night fliers out there?

I could just imagine how awesome that would look with the Slo-V lit up against the Northern Lights. Any possibilities of getting pictures? It's probably rather difficult.

RE: Video from a Slo-V?

You need a USB video capture device. You can do a search on froogle.google.com. The one I used is a TV tuner as well, so I can watch TV, but if you only need to capture video you can probably get...

Go to www.rcs4less.com. Free shipping on all orders any size. Only ground shipping though, but they're in Michigan so it might get to Florida quicker that it does for California.

Thanks Fisher and NoM'r. Yes, I'm using stock 6 cell. I have not yet tried flying with the 7 cell, but at this point I haven't felt like I needed to.

RE: slo-v problems

Yes...a GWS prop it is. Specifically, the name of the lubricant I use is "TriFlow Superior Lubricant w/ Teflon"

RE: Video from a Slo-V?

I failed to mention that I put some teflon based lube in the prop shaft and on the gears. I can't remember exactly what the name of it is (I'm at work right now). But there is a product called...

RE: slo-v problems

I put some lube on the prop shaft part that goes inside the gear box and just a little on the gear and pinion. I forget exactly what name, but it's a very light liquid lube with teflon. It's as...

Here's a visual example of Slo-V aerobatics. Just to extend my previous reply to you, besides putting the control on Mode B, put the clevis on the inner holes (I have mine on the...

Hehehe....it was more painful than it looked, but I'm still impressed with the little guy. Only needed a new gear box, reposition and epoxy the gearbox mount, fix up the cowl, and it was ready to...

You're right...I need to angle my camera down a bit. I'll have to check out those antennas you mention. Are they amplified? I was looking at some amplified antennas for 2.4GHz wi-fi systems and...

Here's video from the new camera. I'm not quite sure what my conclusion is yet on whether or not it's better. I had my receiver on my windsheild, outside the car, but I was parked right behind the...

Slo-V Aerobatics? Here's a video to answer your question.

Well, it seems to pop up often when people inquire about the Slo-V whether or not it has any ability to do some aerobatics. Although, I couldn't really say that it was intended to be an "aerobatic"...
