Sounds like you have an air leak around the stopper on the fuel tank. Could be a leak in the fuel line in the tank near the stopper. Did you replace all of your fuel lines?

The gear doors look great. How did you add the reinforcement to the doors around the edges and through the middle. I am new to building fiberglass parts...so..trying to figure this...
