RE: My first Trex Loop...pic

Wow!!! I think I'll do a little more FF & Nose-in before I try 3D.

RE: t-rex caanopy

Sean told me that they're coming out with another brand that has some more designs as well. Can't wait, but this one is fine. Everyone who sees it thinks it's awsome. I wouldn't mind getting a...

RE: T Rex Rant!

If you've been flying the BCP for a while, you should have no problems in flying the TRex. It's a piece of cake compared to the Blade.

RE: Official T-rex 450 XL SE Thread

If I understand you correctly - you're adjusting the remote gain on the radio? If this is the case, you cannot adjust the telebee gyro in that fashion. You'll have to manually turn the...

RE: Online purchase

In your next email, post a link to this thread. It will help you get your parts quicker. No one likes bad publicity, and most want to do the honorable thing.

RE: t-rex caanopy

Heli Direct is great with Customer Service. Very fast in response, and was willing to replace it. However... I already glued my gromets in for the mounts, and I managed to scratch it near the...

RE: Questions: Loctite and the Trex 450SA

I took my SE apart and did what Finless (and everyone here) said - take apart and re-locktite. There were a couple of them that I missed, and they're the ones that came loose. Luckily I caught them...

RE: t-rex caanopy

The shape of the canopy. V1 looks like mine and has bulges on the sides. V2 is fatter in profile.

RE: t-rex caanopy

I'm guessing that Canomod made prototypes, maybe this one proved too time consuming (IE too expensive to reproduce for $70) to mass produce? So they dropped it and replaced it with a little simpler...

RE: T Rex Rant!

This cold weather thing has me wondering how the SE tail will hold up though. As you know, the ball links joints to the tail are unique to the SE from the other varieties of TRex. Mine have broken...

RE: t-rex caanopy

Get the plain white fiberglassed one and take it (along with the 4 pictures from HD) to your local airbrusher (the ones who paint helmets, etc).

We'll see what Heli-Direct says about this one. ...

RE: Official T-rex 450 XL SE Thread

I went through the entire tail and gyro. NADA... On a whim I bumped up the remote head speed and presto - problem solved. I feel so amature... LOL

The 9303 is the TX. Pretty awsome radio......

RE: t-rex caanopy

Actually your thread inspired me to write them with the exact RANT. For $70 + S&H, it should be exactly what they're selling. Especially when they post 4 pictures of the canopy in different views...

RE: Official T-rex 450 XL SE Thread

It's a stock SE, 401 with 9650 for the tail, HS65's and a JR9303. This is my first "advanced" heli, and I have a lot to learn. There's no trim necessary for the tail or the rest of the heli. ...

RE: Official T-rex 450 XL SE Thread

I have a question for the experts here... When I'm hovering and give sudden power, the tail kicks out. I'm running a 401 and 9650, and it seems like it should be a little more locked in than that. ...

RE: t-rex caanopy

There is dirt in the paint as well. All in all it's still a pretty cool canopy.

RE: t-rex caanopy

I bought the dragon (blue / white). It's not airbrushed exactly the way that they show in the picture. To be quite honest, mine looks more like a fish (carp) LOL. I guess this is the difference...

RE: Official T-rex 450 XL SE Thread

Hmm. I'm tempted to go with it. I've seen on other threads where using Idle up is smoother in wind, etc. My LHS Owner advised against it - But I think he thinks that I'll be trying rolls and...

RE: VQ P-61 Reversed Ailerons $CRUNCH$

I have to admit, I'm a little slow with things, but just before I taxi out, I'll do exactly as others have stated, check the control surfaces to see that they all work properly. I can never figure...

RE: Noobies, try ca kicker - wow!!

One unfortunate thing about CA & Plastic is it makes it extremely brittle. It'll get you by for a while on plastic. It's great for main rotor blades like on a Blade CP / CPP, but I wouldn't put it...

RE: Official T-rex 450 XL SE Thread

RE: T Rex Rant!

Why don't they make those arms out of metal anyway? Is it because the ball joint is plastic (weak link), so since it's such a small part they went ahead and made the whole thing out of plastic?

RE: Storing Lipo ???

I had a 6000 mah 3S3P Thunder Power pack in storage almost two years without a charge. When I last checked it, it was still at 10.7 V. I ended up breaking up the cells and building 3X 2000 mah 3S...
