new ST-R pics, before it gets hammered

Thought I would share some pics with you before my new Kyosho ST-R gets hammered on the track. This truck is awesome. Can't wait to start racing again. (It's been about 5 years since I've raced) This...

RE: Rim size on stock Kyosho ST-R

I was'nt born with the knowledge of the rim size on all rc vehicles. I have never owned a monster truck because I have never been impressed with them, especially the TMAXX. (Not knocking the TMAXX,...

RE: Rim size on stock Kyosho ST-R

The question is what size tire, not what style. The previous post said to use the MT tire. I beleive that the MT tire and the 40 series tires take a different size rim. Is this true? I agree with you...

RE: St-r gets a few new parts :)

Leave the guy alone. Your truck looks awesome. I've thought of using 1/8 scale tires myself. Not sure what you have on your truck, but this hobby is about experimenting and having fun. Too many...

Rim size on stock Kyosho ST-R

Just ordered a Kyosho ST-R. I understand that it does not come with tires. Anyone know what size tires to get? Seams like the 40 series and the MT are a different diameter rim. Would like to order a...

Nova Rossi .50

Anyone try a Nova Rossi .50 plane motor, and if so, where can I find one?

RE: New design spad pics. What do you think?

The lattice that I'm talking about (from Lowes) is already finished smooth as stocked. It is not lattice such as you might see for fencing, decoration, gardening, etc.(that stuff is usually cedar and...

RE: New design spad pics. What do you think?

Villa, I am not offended by any thing you say. Constructive criticism is a good thing as it leads to improved products (keep them coming). I have not given up on poly as mounts (all my other spads...

RE: New design spad pics. What do you think?

Villa, I'm curious on what kinds of problems you've experienced with lite-ply and what thickness of lite-ply you were using in what areas? My plane is an experiment and only time will tell the weak...

RE: New design spad pics. What do you think?

I admit that I don't know how strong the wing spar is under stressful maneuvers. The spar is made out of 1-3/4" lattice from Lowe's. I was hoping to use 2" but that size was not available. The...

RE: New design spad pics. What do you think?

I epoxied a 6" lite-ply stiffener on each side of the middle of the spar and cut a hole in the center the exact size of the tubing. This holds the front of the wing in place. The trailing edge is...

RE: New design spad pics. What do you think?

You nailed it, that was the intent of this build. I wanted it to be simple so I did not taper the wing. Thanks for the compliment.

RE: New design spad pics. What do you think?

I'll provide more info on the build, but it will have to be at a later date with the holidays being here (lacking time to take measurements etc.). Here are a few details, 2mm wing, 1"x1/16" aluminum...

New design spad pics. What do you think?

I've nearly finished my new spad. It was close enough to being finished that I was able to test fly it today. It was a bit windy today, but I could not resist. After getting it trimmed out, it was...

RE: Debonair

Hang in there. Look over your plane and make sure it is to the plan. If built to the plan and balanced to the plan, it should fly great. Drilling the holes in it should not change the way you check...

A big thanks to Kraut and Tatoo!

I loved flying when I first got into the hobby, but after crashing a few balsa trainers I started to get a bit discouraged about the hobby. I quit flying for about 1-1/2 years when I built my son a...

RE: PQHOR setup

My friend and I both fly pqhor's and they both fly great. They are not built exactly as on the prints, and they are both 40 sized. Roll rate was good on mine which was the first one of the two to be...

RE: (PICS) I'M NOT JUST A PQHOR ANY MORE!

The roll rate is good. I have a 69oz torque servo. I built one of these for my friend and he put a 103oz HiTech servo with a five cell battery on his and the roll rate is very fast, as fast as...

RE: (PICS) I'M NOT JUST A PQHOR ANY MORE!

Sorry I have'nt gotten back to you sooner but I've been tied up with other things lately. The design is similar to the original PQHOR except with a 34" wing span and fuse length. I made the tail...

(PICS) I'M NOT JUST A PQHOR ANY MORE!

I took a little bit of PQHOR, a little bit of SPA3D, and a little bit of that, and made this extra fun spad. It seems as if coro has unlimited possibilities. This plane is a blast to fly! :) This is...

RE: and I thought I knew it all

I agree with byrdman on the deb, if you already know how to fly. The deb is a slow flying trainer (my son learned to fly with one), not much for fun flying tricks. I have also built a dps, spadstick...

RE: U-CAN-CRASH (PIC)

I agree that's a lot of money to plant, but I have a couple myself. The plane I fly the most only has a .46fx and is on a spa3dt with a dps wing. I've hit the ground many times with it (pilot...

RE: SPA3DT WITH DPS WING

The dps wing is the same as the original dps plan on spad to the bone site. It spans 48" x 11" with 2 1/2" aileron tapering down to 1" at the tip.
