Yeah... very typical- especially with 30% and up airplanes. I recommend using servos with big gears (preferably metal, unless plastic gears are huge), and high torque especially for rudder.

The Extra will fly better if you use glue sparingly, but I would suggest a Troy Built Models (now Roman Built Models) 35% Extra 260... with a 3W-100 (or DA-100) it weighs 22+- 1 lbs.

Try a C-ARF 2.6m Extra 330, Yak55SP or Carden 35% Extra 330. If you want a 50cc plane, try the C-ARF 2x2 Extra

Do NOT get any Sukhoi. An Extra, or Edge would be fine....
