Want to buy a radial engine . Which one ?

Right now im looking at the 73 cc Siato and the UMS engines up to 70 cc . I dont want a real big one because i dont have
room for a plane that size . Let me ask for any wisdom on Radial engines...

I'm not giving up . I plan on trying muffler pressure tomorrow .
Also I have had no problems priming my engine and I know why .
I am using a fuel dot inline with the carb so while I am fueling...

I forgot to add one thing
I have mine in a plane with a cowl . I would just about bet that horizon does not have
it mounted in a cowl when they are testing it . And it makes sence that the prop...

Until I see different I have to believe that Saito will make it good .
I think making there own carb was a bold move , You know we have had
carb problems before with off brand carb's changed...

I thought I expressed my problems pretty good , please go back and read again .
But basically I think some of their spark plugs do work and others don't or maybe they are getting fowled by...

That might be it the tie wraps will transmit the vibration . Let us know it that solves the bubbles please

Do you have foaming from vibration , is your fuel tank set in foam to isolate engine vibration .
That could cause the bubbles .

I am using the Rimfire and it is working .
Mine ran rich with the stock plug and leaned out and runs good with both the NGK and Rimfire .
rmalko did you try the plug or just feel it would not...

I can't say I am very happy with the statement that " the pump is not that strong " the reason you have a pump in a gas engine is
so that it does not matter where the tank is at and so you always...

I have three flights on the GEE BEE now and I xxxx at the landings but I have not broke anything yet .

The engine is running great I have one problem left and have not figured it out yet .

Was doing a little research and found that the NGK and the Rimfire are non resistor plugs .
I forget who said it but in this thread it was said that the Saito stock plug is a resistor plug .

I did not realize that they made more than one .
The ones I have from C&H are the VR2 and they fit the Saito plug socket for me .

Both the NGK and the RimFire are shorter and they both work with the plug cap . I have flown with both of them .
I did not check the Rimfire but when I changed to that from the NGK I did notice...

That is sad and as I have said also I built my plane and installed the engine , never even thinking that a Saito
would not run right , did not test it until it was complete . My saving grace was...

Antique You were right about the Rimfire ( better plug than the NGK - Much better )
