RE: Hobbico battery help

Well I checked again....Only the smallest of voltage present. I had to use some settings on my meter that I had never used before to get the reading.

Resistance check was OK. I am wondering if...

RE: Hard pull to right...HELP!

I might have found part of the problem. When replacing my .46fx I noticed that the back of the engine is ever so slightly cocked to the left, pulling the front of the engine to the right. I must...

RE: Hard pull to right...HELP!

Thanks for the replies.

I went out just now with a .40 and it still is doing it! I have had several people look at it with no answers. I have flown it several times and, once in the air, it...

RE: Check out my Ultra Sport 40+

Not yet! I was waiting on some green to be able to purchase the remaining stuff that I need. Meanwhile, I decided to get some more stick time on my GP PT-40 when I had an unfortunate "not quite...

RE: Great Planes PT-40 Build Thread

Looks good! I built one a little while ago (my first plane). I strongly suggest the "sport" wing. I built the "trainer" and the ailerons almost did nothing. I went back and scratch built the...

RE: Another Ultra Sport 40+ question

Did you loop the fuel line? I would like to leave a little extra so I can take the tank out again without huge problems if I have to. If you did loop the line, how did you hold it in position?

RE: Another Ultra Sport 40+ question

I just heard back from GP and they said that the tank placement should be OK. They did suggest that I add a loop or two to stop any flooding problems. I think that I can drill a hole in the former...

RE: Another Ultra Sport 40+ question

I contacted GP and am awaiting reply. I think that I would rather just mount the engine sideways and not worry about it. Now, how to run the pushrods? (I am using a fixed trike landing gear) I am...

Thanks for your quick reply! Here are some pics. I took a pic over the plans so that you can see that the carb in the plans is well under the center line of the tank. Now I may want to mount my...

Another Ultra Sport 40+ question

I was looking at the plans and the tank center line is above the carb. I have the same engine (OS .46fx) and had planned on mounting it upside down. Will this cause problems?

RE: GP Ultra Sport 40+ Build

Thanks for the advice. I am just starting the fues this evening. I wish that the right wing would have turned out as nicely as the right. You learn a bunch on the first wing.
