HSN-4 turns out from closed.
LSN-1 1/2 turns out from closed (should be flush with the ring DIRECTLY surrounding the LSN.)

Correct. They do have an EZ start system on the Nitro Sports and Nitro Rustlers (I didnt see which one specifically you were looking at), so you wouldnt need a glow warmer.
