RE: F27 STRYKER, WAY PAST THE LIMITS! PART 4...

I've been dying to try one of the 6 series motors, they seem comparable to a 16/25 series Mega motor as they draw a few more amps than the 16/15 series. I would run them with a 45 amp esc and a...

RE: F27 STRYKER, WAY PAST THE LIMITS! PART 4...

Yoster, sounds like the specs on that motor are too good to be true. I guess the incredibly low price should have been a giveaway to its quality. I have done the same thing and been burned before.

RE: Build A Bullet Proof Stryker (Brushless Or Stock)

Its all good. I never claimed to know everything, and like you I was just posting what works for me as an alternative to your method.
I find it to be light and functional, my two favorite things. ...

RE: Build A Bullet Proof Stryker (Brushless Or Stock)

I have been reading the Stryker threads for along time now, I just don't tend to agree with everything that comes up. I remember when Critter was just a newb getting advice from Glacier, etc.
I...

RE: Build A Bullet Proof Stryker (Brushless Or Stock)

I ran the carbon tube front to rear only in the fuse, not the nose. I started the hole using a very sharp bamboo skewer and worked slowly to get it the way I wanted.
The latch and canopy hinge...

RE: Build A Bullet Proof Stryker (Brushless Or Stock)

My Stryker weighs 21 ozs RTF with a Mega 16/15/4, CSRC 2100 3 cell , Phoenix 35, Spektrum ar6000 receiver, and 6x4 apc prop.
I used a carbon rod driven thru the fuse nose to tail like a drill bit...

RE: F27 STRYKER, WAY PAST THE LIMITS! PART 4...

I love flying my Stryker in the wind, but it isn't for the inexperienced or the timid. Learning to deal with the wind can be challenging but it sure increases your flying time.

RE: F27 STRYKER, WAY PAST THE LIMITS! PART 4...

In response to Gryphon, I think you killed your esc by doing that long of a static test. Just long enough to get an amp and wattage measurement is best. Never run a long static test on a high powered...

RE: how do u mount your servo's?

Hot glue is so simple and light, just peels off when you need it to.

RE: Is there anything similar to the Electrajet?

Hobby Lobby sells the edf powered firebird, exact copy. I would build up a Stryker though, cheaper and faster with a prop setup. Use shorter than stock tails and it'll turn and roll quite well. Good...

RE: is there a foamy RTF package

I agree on the Easystar recommendation. Tough, and fun to fly as long as you go with 7 or 8 cell battery to get a little more power. Handles the wind as well as anything and will carry a camera aloft...

RE: Please Stop Feeding The Trolls and Don't Be One Either

The only part of this post that I take issue with is Nitronutt acts all superior because of the guys post count? So let me see, if I don't have 2000 posts I'm not worthy? Go reread his post and see...

RE: Problem with lst2 and spektrum rec shutting off every time - plz help :)

I imagine you have to turn it off and back on again so it can bind to the transmitter. This doesn't fix your problem but does explain why you must shut the switch off before on and then getting...

RE: F27 STRYKER, WAY PAST THE LIMITS! PART 4...

Critter, could you tell me what I'll need to mount a prop on my bp-21, such as a prop saver or whatever, thanks. What prop would you recommend?

RE: F27 STRYKER,WAY PAST THE LIMITS! Part 3

I've just ordered a fuselage to build my brushless Stryker and can't decide on the 16/15/4 or the 16/25/4. I understand the 25 will produce more thrust with more amps and the 15 will give good speed...

RE: Front Tires, All over the place!

Sounds like you have broken the connecting link between the steering arms. You can still steer but the wheels will flop around alot. BAC makes an upgrade part for this. Good luck

RE: 30%...To shim or not to shim, that is the question!

30% and MC-9 plug since new, no problems with several different engines. Go for it.
