hmmm...interesting... could be.....[:-]...however the idle adjustment wouln't work unless you get the carb body too due to the placement of the idle screw

hpi slide carb

well.. I got the slide carb from an HPI 15sc... compared side to side with the 18ss rotary carb...they match up....

plus the 12r and the 18ss carb is the same thing.... part numbers are...

piston looks good.... no scoring on the shaft too...gp lights up bright...will not fire with the drop of fuel....

I can't get my car started for nothing... i'm about ready to send the 18ss engine w/ pullstart into HPI for their checking.... It use to start fine.... have ran about 8 tanks thru it...

indeed the pull start does suck, as I am tired of pulling and already sprung one....

Got it Nitro... Thanks! It is perfect now.... just gotta do the high end.... but it is downpooring here...so going to run 2 tanks thru just for the heck of it... making 6 total so far...

JMT... I like the kit.. it is great even with the 12r ss in it!.... plus the reapir part are plentiful, easy to get and not too bad on price...

don't know anything about the kyosho kit...

stalls on brake

while braking my my 18ss, the thing stalls when i brake...even after adjusting the throttle servo arm it still stalls on brake...

looks like the carb completely closes....

any hints or...

rs4 type ss...still stock.... with an hpi rx8 body and a yokomo rx7 body. Got an 18ss engine and better gearing a waiting to be slapped in...
