RE: SYSSA 30CC GAS MADE IN USA

RE: Norbert's 1.1m balsa cat build

This is fascinating, very impressive work ! I am in to planes, haven't had a boat in probably 20 years, but saw a couple of small electrics at a hobby shop today that got me thinking. This looks...

RE: SYSSA 30CC GAS MADE IN USA

RE: SYSSA 30CC GAS MADE IN USA

I'm wondering if Todd is taking the opportunity to correct the issues discovered with the first batch.... Only thing I am aware of is the muffler gasket blowing out. My priming problem does seem to...

RE: SYSSA 30CC GAS MADE IN USA

Well, I didn't get as much time in today as I hoped, after about 5 minutes in the air, was forced to land for a full scale fly over. After that, it wouldn't start again, or wouldn't stay...

RE: SYSSA 30CC GAS MADE IN USA

Four more flights on mine today in the RC Guys Decathlon, five flights on the engine total, all 11 - 12 minutes.

Just some observations...

I don't have priming down yet, takes a lot to get...

RE: SYSSA 30CC GAS MADE IN USA

Have a flight on it so far, plane was much more tail heavy in the air than ground balancing indicated, so I didn't risk it again. Have the spinner on and will move batteries tonight to get it right....

RE: SYSSA 30CC GAS MADE IN USA

Ahh, OK..... So either it wasn't torqued enough or the gasket material isn't up to the task.... Interesting, something to watch, especially since I have extensions on mine.

Thanks !

RE: SYSSA 30CC GAS MADE IN USA

Yep, she flew ! Weather forecast was wrong, cloudy windy and cool, but I made it out and got it in the air once.

Nothing other than subjective to report yet, less than 20 minutes on the...

RE: SYSSA 30CC GAS MADE IN USA

Anything for you Fiddy ! Well, except demonstrating my lack of talent in 30 MPH winds and destroying my plane and new engine.

Tomorrow is supposed to be pretty nice, should be the day.

RE: SYSSA 30CC GAS MADE IN USA

What do you want to know about the RC Guys Decathlon ? What kind of car do you have ?

I think I'm the guy from the other forum that has this plane. The Syssa is mounted up, and I planned to...

RE: SYSSA 30CC GAS MADE IN USA

The only difference is the length of the standoffs. Just measure the distance you need from firewall to hub and order that one. If you don't find an exact match just get the one slightly shorter...

RE: SYSSA 30CC GAS MADE IN USA

It is an external plate, no room for an internal doesn't look like. But yeah, trying to figure out how to handle the choke manually on an enclosed cowl. No problem for a servo but I hadn't planned...

RE: SYSSA 30CC GAS MADE IN USA
