Another shot in the dark but make sure you don't have damage to any of the wires inside your radio box. Mine starting glitching real bad when I started the engine up. Didn't glitch with the engine...

Sounds like what happened to my engine just a week or so ago. Mine was running fine, probably on about my 7-8th tank of gas. Still running a little rich to be on the safe side. Went to go start it up...

$14 does not sound much if he had it shipped through a company like Mail Boxes Etc. Thay charge outrageous rates to pack and ship an item. He may have had to pay for the box, them packing everything...
