Sorry, I neglected to say I had changed plugs for new ones, moved them around between cylinders, taken them all out and glowed outside the engine to visually check brightness of teh...

Yeah, I've used the nylon three blade gray Graupners here in West Oz. Most shops will carry them or get them in for you.

Pretty easy to come by. Just remember to boil them before you use them.

Mate, this has been an ongioing debate since Wilbur & Orville were in short pants. Personally I always run 3% blended with my synthetic and do the same for "special orders" when doing a batch of fuel...

max RPM I ever saw static was 8,200. This with the mixture rich for reliability through the range. It wouild lean out to do a few hundred more if I persisted, but I didn't like it...

Hello Kmot,

I generally mix my fuel in 5 litre lots.

This means that the 5 litres consists of:

500cc of Nitro - 10%
1 litre of oil (synth/castor) - 20%
3.5 litres of methanol - 70%

As I was telling Chasman, the engine was quite young and running like a gem. It has never given any trouble. It has always been run from new on 10% Angus nitro, and 15% Coolpower/5%...
