I'm not sure why but no matter what I do the motor comes out @ 150 or so, 135 on the esc, matters little what prop. I'd like to try a new motor but am a bit reluctant to put a motor and a raido into...

I'd say depends on the paint, most likely it's ok, do a range check before it hits the water

Sand wet with 600 grit,use a soft sanding block. Clear coat to a higher gloss if you like. Looks great !

the yellow elecrical they have at lowes matches the sv perfectly, I get several uses by just putting it on the hull deck corners in between runs.

The 220 is my best prop, the boat always runs hot though, wish I could get 100 or so.

When I orderd you could specify polyquest or thunderpower, these are the most widely used

Elite lipos have worked well for me, I have the 4800 25c, looks like the 5000 35c are in stock and reasonable

FMA makes nice chargers, I have 1 of each

what temps are you getting and what cooling are u running. Do you find the ammo motor runs cooler than the stock motor ?

LOL, my resque also $30, have given up on even bringing it, pos, vector thrust and bairly comes on plane, hard to stear. Wish I had a mid grade resque, I like this, could be good for kids and resque,...

yea I surronded the inner liner a few inches back, held it in place but let it flex a bit, kept the drive shaft in while it cured up to keep it aligned. Let me know if it works out. It was a nitro...

I have in the past used a smaller brass stuffing tube in place of the loose plastic tubes, I felt it kept better aligned and with less play so the shaft would not bang around. Be sure to use enough...

Yep 2 big jets of water coming out, I just dont get what is causing the heat. I have the OSE cooler on the motor as well. Check the picks plenty of flow

I have the cg at 8" from the transom, the boat hops a bit at top end so she it does not look to be wet. MAybe the cg is too far forward ??

Hit 40.5 today (my personal best) with the ss 220prather, this was faster than the x-645. No matter what prop I use the motor runs at 152 and the esc runs at 142, this is with extra h2o pick up and...
