Yeah, I plan on doing the LCG chassis before the spring race season begins. These short-shocks...are they really necessary? The suspension already has a decent amount of adjustability.

Just bought the STS .28

And it's going into my Savage. Anything I need to know to help the install go smoother? What should I upgrade? I think it's going to bebreaking some of the stock components.

by the way, this is for a Savage SS. I had a motorsaver air filter, and upgraded diffs in the SS before I killed the motor.

I'm replacing the HPI .25 with the HPI .28

If I send in my motor to HPI for $99 I can get a new .25, or for $149 I can get the .28

What would I need to change to keep up with the extra power of the .28 since my savage came with a .25?

This summer, I blew my SS .25...it was real hot, so i richened. and richened. and richened. and finally lots of stuttering and crap. Before the stuttering, it ran AWESOME. ANyways, pulled the motor...

Where should you be measuring the temps? Point the gun at the heatsink on the outside? Inside the heatsink where the plug is? On the muffler?

I just got my temp gun, ran it as hard as I normally...

mine goes 900mph. i was duking it out with a jet car this morning, blew it away off the line smoked it in the 1/4.

yup. 2.8second 1/4 mile trapping at just over 900mph....

Does anyone have any suggestions? I have thought about swapping in a different set of gears, but I'd like to hear about some of your experiences. The track I will be racing on has a lot of twisties...

From a dead stop, if I go full throttle the tranny will not shift out of...

I don't know much about racing competitively, but aren't there classes? What size engine is this thing running on? Around here, all the competitors run like .15 engines. It wouldn't even be fair to...
