RE: Apple

Apple is already part way there. The core Unix Operating System - Darwin - of OS X is already ported to the PC, and people have been running it since 2002. There has been a lot of speculation that...

RE: Any chance of getting AFPD on a Mac??

Dion, that's just what I did!! But, I ended up spending $1000 upgrading my PC: $200 Motherboard, $200 Memory, $300 Processor, $50 Pwr Supply, $250 ATI 9800 Pro.

Like I said, I've had PC for...

RE: new video card for aerofly

I just saw that the Dell Dimension 4700c has PCI-Express as well. An ATI X300 SE is availble for it as an upgrade. (Not sure if I would recommend this card though - SE versions are perfomance "risky"...

RE: Any chance of getting AFPD on a Mac??

AITH, there's probably just a marker sent when cookie's are established specifiying what browser you are using. I'm currently using Safari on my Mac :D, but if I were using Netscape instead, you...

Any chance of getting AFPD on a Mac??

I've got both PC's and Mac's - I use Mac's for business and Desktop PC's for fun (been doing PC's for about 20 years - Mac's for just 3.)

Any chance at all that Icarus could port AFPD to OS X?? ...

RE: Laptops and TV's with XTR

Wow! What happened? I haven't seen a slow laptop screen in literally years!

RE: new video card for aerofly

Folks, PCI is basically dead. ATI, out of the goodness of thier heart, still manufactures some of their video cards in PCI. However, AGP 2X is faster than PCI.

If you mean PCI-Express, that's a...

RE: AFPD Story /comments /questions

bluemagic98 is right. The 9200 SE is a fairly low speed GPU video card. Even the 9600's don't get that warm. There are 3 speed favors: 9600, 9600 PRO, and 9600 XT. The XT has a fan and does start to...
