RE: G-62 in a 87" Ziroli Stearman?

Cool...... I will take all this info to heart. I've e-mailed Mr. Ziroli asking him what he would put in it. The plans say min. 62cc's. I've found a FPE 5.8 (95cc's) used for $500. As far as...

RE: G-62 in a 87" Ziroli Stearman?

Thanks Big Bird....... The ZDZ 80RV sounds good. I was looking at the First Place FPE 5.8. It's a little cheaper than the ZDZ and it's bigger at 95cc's. I dont think the difference in weight...

G-62 in a 87" Ziroli Stearman?

I'm building a 87" Ziroli Stearman and I'm not sure what to pull it with. The plans call for 62cc min. The plane should come out at 32-35lbs. I like to do aerobatics and am concerned that that a...

RE: Ziroli Stearman

Thanks for the reply. This plane is clamed to come out at 32-35lbs. If it does, do you think a G-62 would pull it or should I consider a larger engine? I love to do conventional aerobatics and...

RE: New pic's of Neptune

Radiofly.......A 4 stroke would be great. I have a Saito .72 that I thought about putting on it. But it would need a 3 blade prop to work right. I've even considered electric. But, I've been very...

RE: New pic's of Neptune

I can put a 12in prop on mine. I'm running a 11-6 APC now with the Evolution .46. With a Mac's tuned exhaust I'm getting 11300 rpm's. Plenty of power. It almost leaps out of the water and has...

RE: New pic's of Neptune

Ed........The side force gen just adds more side area to the plane at the C.G. You've seen the small foamy 3D air craft like the tenser and others. They can fly knife edge for ever. Same concept,...

RE: Neatest & cleanest method to mount float servo?

I never have liked the flexable nyrod from the rudder control horn set up. To much slop. Sounds like you want to mount the servo in the float. That's what I would do. Making a hatch is fairly...
