RE: Polyquest lipo's NFG?

They were stored with a full charge. Even when charged them to top them up before testing them my Triton charger read over 12V.

Polyquest lipo's NFG?

I have 2 2100mah, 11.1V 20C polyquest lipos about 1.5 years old with little use. I installed them today on a new GP Yak 54 and they can't carry even close to their 20C rating. There connected to a...

RE: Aviation Models 35% Yak Build

If the pivot point of the control horn does not line up with the hinge line won't you end up with different surface travel in each direction? Where is everyone drilling the hole for the control horn...

RE: Aviation Models 35% Yak Build

I intend on using the stock hardware but it appears it will not work. If you measure the nylon contol horn that threads onto the bolt, the distance is approx. 1/2" from the pivot point to the...

RE: Aviation Models 35% Yak Build

Have any of you used the newer bolt style control horns? It appears that if you drill the hole through the control surface at a 90 degree angle the bolt will be on the edge of the plywood block on...

LiPo's for reciever pak

Does anyone use a regular LiPo for a reciever or ignition pack? I know there not as durable as a lithium ion, but can they be used reliably?

RE: Aviation Models 35% Yak Build

I mentioned earlier about using 192 oz servos on the elevators. These are Futaba 9155's. Why does everyone use servos in the 300 oz range?

RE: Aviation Models 35% Yak Build

Would a servo with 192 oz torque be enough for each elevator?

RE: Aviation Models 35% Yak Build

The 37.5% gear fits perfect. It is almost identical height and width as the stock gear. You won't be dissappointed

RE: Aviation Models 35% Yak Build

I'm using the Aviation Models Carbon Fibre gear. It was expensive but appears to be very well made and looks way better than the aluminum gear. It should be plenty strong also since it is sized for...

RE: Aviation Models 35% Yak Build

I mounted a 3W-106 CS on mine and the gap from the spinner backplate to the front of the cowl is 1.25". There is no room for error since the manual shows a 3W-106 it just looks like a large gap. ...

RE: futaba S9351 servos

I think the reason why the servos on your ailerons don't jitter is because there are 2 per aileron. The problem is created because of the momentum of the surface due it's weight. The sudden stop of...
