RE: Looking for suggestions on a good quality Truggy for racing. Suggestions needed!

Aside from the biggest question of how much do you wanna spend....... ask yourself how much experience do you really have??? Are you ready to deal with a starter box yet??? Are you proficient enough...

RE: Nova 21-4 vs RB C6

Ok, so you have the 8ight-B and T, so first off get yourself an engine mount where you mount the engine to a set of blocks that stay on the engine from Losi or one from King headz so now you can swap...

RE: Tuning with a restrictor

Not to start anything here, but if using a smaller carb venturi would act as a choke it would be reducing the air intake (which you are correct about but...... a choke forces more fuel into the carb...

RE: Got my XT8...

What are you thinking of the shock setup foxy? I am in love with everything about the truck except the shocks and the insanely stiff setup that they give you in the manual. Put some road rage tires...

RE: clutch engagement question............

And/or put some heavier springs on, mugen 1.1's are usually the ticket with those.

RE: RB TM928 or novarossi 528XR in an 8ight T

Contact mark at massive mods, hes in aus., and has some options for you. I know he sells quite a few different engines, modded and not, or can get you what you want. Not sure what the prices are like...

RE: BOSS .21 off road race engine thread

What is a "ninja hot mod"? Theres a hott mod ninja from fusion motorsports, but I've never heard of a modded ninja other than the MRT and pre mods from the engine modifiers.

RE: Robitronics Mantis diff issues

Try going up in weight in the center and rear diffs, also you may want to drop down to 5k in the front also. Thats a kind of funky setup where all the power is mostly getting pushed through the front...

RE: Robitronics Mantis diff issues

Diff fluid weight has a big impact on how its going to handle, what weight do you have up front? Is it really only working FWD or can you see the rears pushing also? If its pushing (front wheels...

RE: Robitronics Mantis diff issues

You bought a mantis now? What happened to the hyper ST?

Are the ring and pinion gears the same tooth count between the savage and mantis?

What actually went bad with the mantis setup, the...

RE: Looking for a Truggy!

Towerhobbies.com has financing with "billmelater" and they have a decent selection of stuff including mugen and ofna, all sorts of electronics and engines. The downside is their prices, and I dont...

RE: clutch bearing problems mbx5t

Are you blowing the grease out of the inner bearing before installing them? If not the grease will get flung all over the inside of your clutchbell an cause slippage. How about scuffing your new...

RE: differentials again

See how they are shimmed stock, if you can find a kit manual it should tell you how many and which side to place them on. On the other hand your cases could be a little worn, so maybe install them...

RE: differentials again

Most RTR's come with grease in the diffs, not sure about the hellfire but thats what I'd assume is in there. I dont think there is 700wt, theres possibly 500wt but I've never seen less than 1000wt.

RE: clutch spacer question 8T

The one on the left is correct, it sits at the end of the crank shaft with a 3 x 8mm screw through it holding the clutchbell on.

RE: Finished the Losi 8ight T, Red Bull Body

If you pop off your air filter and take a look down the barrel of the carb you should see a small "gap" towards the side of the truck with the exhaust pipe on it (make sure the carb slide is all the...

RE: eight t diffs

A generic setup starting point for most truggies is 10/30/5 or 7. Some truggies like thinner or heavier in certain diffs, and some drivers like different setups, its a big personal preference thing....

RE: eight t diffs

The race roller comes with 7/10/5 (F/C/R) as a starting point. Its not bad, I've gone down to 3K and 1k in the rear but I've gone back up to the stock 5k since. The front and center seem fine as is,...

RE: What do U think Hitec HS-5955TG

You dont need the programmer to setup the servo in the car, I've been using them with my sensor up until recently (sold it for 3PK) and they've been the best servo I've owned. I actually use it in my...

RE: Good News From Horizon On Losi 8ight T!!!

Not to mention the 8T RTR can be made a roller version (chassis, towers and stuff) for less than $100 or so if you keep your eye on ebay.
