RE: Hitec Eclipse7 weak in Positive shift mode

Thanks for the reply - FUD can go a long way when you're trusting your equipment to a product you're unfamiliar with.

RE: Hitec Eclipse7 weak in Positive shift mode

Is this an issue I need to worry about with positive shift in general, or is it just with JR receivers? I've just ordered a Hitec Eclipse 7 with the Spectra module and I had planned to use it with...

RE: Tuff Flight's 4D

It really is a nice plane, but I just can't keep my engine running when it's not level. When it points up, it leans out and dies, and when it points down, it gets over rich and dies. It's just been...

RE: Tuff Flight's 4D

I ordered another engine so I won't have to worry about keeping it running when I need it most and an air filter for when I inevitably run it into the dirt again. The wind out here is frustrating,...

RE: Tuff Flight's 4D

I fixed the plane but it got windy and rainy just as I finished, so it'll have to wait. I'm thinking of ordering the 4d-lite to practice with until I'm comfortable flying the 4D. I don't want to...

RE: Tuff Flight's 4D

Thanks! It looks good as long as you don't get too close. I used the same pearl blue and black/yellow checkered ultracote on the corplast as I did on the wings, but the fuselage wasn't smooth, so I...

RE: Tuff Flight's 4D

Thanks for the tip with the landing gear. Maybe that's why the CG was an inch too far back. I mounted the engine as far forward as I could to try to account for that. It looks like all I broke on...

RE: Tuff Flight's 4D

I finally finished my 4D monday night. Yesterday, I took it out to try to fly it. I had some problems getting my engine running, but I got it in the air after breaking a prop and flew it around for...

RE: What would the best 3D trainer plane setup be? Plane? Engine? Servos?

Consider Tufflight's 4D - It looks like it can take crashes very well while you're learning. Check out the videos on their website.

RE: Tuff Flight's 4D

I meant it's a metal gear servo. It's 1.6 oz, 80 oz/in and .15 sec/60 deg, so the specs are ok. The part I was worried about was being able to plug it into the aircraft receiver. I'm about 8 hours...

RE: Tuff Flight's 4D

I have also ordered a 4D deluxe kit to be my first 'real' r/c plane. I learned on a Parkzone Super Decathlon and now it's getting pretty tired and I'm done spending money on it. I picked up a...

RE: The best flying $25 r/c plane you may ever own..

I had originally ordered the preserver from raidentech, but received the sonic instead. I'm definitely not unhappy about it, and apparently I'm not the only one that has gotten the sonic instead. I...

RE: The best flying $25 r/c plane you may ever own..

Yes, it flew quite well. It held up quite well for the first several crashes, most of the fixes just requiring the nose cone to be glued back on. It was finally destroyed by a basketball and an...

RE: The best flying $25 r/c plane you may ever own..

They did the same with me and sent the super sonic. It seems to have about the same specs, but has a 4 cell battery instead of the 3.
