Mine are pretty expensive batteries. They are 30A, .85volt cutoff.

Speedmunkey, that's not accurate. I checked the battery pack and it says 30A and I called them and they said they've been doing 30A for a long time. ;)

You should not cycle batteries more than twice in a 24 hour period. You should also make sure they are allowed to cool down before they are recharged.

No. You need to put a connector (I like Deans connectors the best) on the end of the ESC wires. In that picture there are no wires on the battery pack. Most battery packs come with wires already...
