RE: Uh Oh! Ok, I did it.

Ah, see, my problem is that I just got my HBFP last month, and there were already no spare parts available!

Admittedly, I haven't been trying to find out what equivalents will work. Specifically...

RE: Uh Oh! Ok, I did it.

You say this like we can just go buy spare parts or something. ;)

RE: HBFP Loop?

I don't know where it is, maybe at the "other" RC forum, but there's a video of a guy looping the HBFP.

I do remember that he has some upgrades (don't remember what), and that he's using a...

RE: Honeybee help

First thing - unplug your battery before making adjustments to the 4-in-1. Unplug the battery, make the adjustment, then plug the battery back in. Also, have your trims centered when making the...

RE: Opinions?/On the right track?

No reason you should crash? HA!

Raise your hand if you used Radd's method and have never crashed.

You're GOING to crash. Can you learn on a CP heli? Sure, but it will cost more in both time...

RE: help buying?

I agree, especially if you're talking about flying outside. The coaxials are much more limited than a single-rotor.

I'd recommend the HBFP, and a sim for learning the basics and orientation....

RE: Totally New and Looking for advice...

Do a little research before getting a HBCP. I haven't read up on them much myself, but I don't see as many recommendations on them as I do on the King or Belt CP.

I'll tell you most will...

RE: Upgrade an ARTF HBFP?

A brushless would be better, but also more involved and expensive. You'd also need a new ESC, and all that may entail.

RE: New with Questions

I've only been flying for a month or so, but if my budget were $200 - $300, I would get an HBFP and ClearView, some spare parts, and maybe some super skids. You'd still have change left.

Even if...

RE: New with Questions

More than likely, most recommendations are going to be for a coaxial like a Lama or Blade CX if you're wanting more indoor flight, or for an HBFP if you plan on flying outdoors more.

Neither one...

RE: Newbie Here and also excited.

If you look at the bottom of this page at BPHobbies, there are instructions for fixing the problem in Vista.

Since FMS is pretty outdated anyway, I didn't want to mess with trying to get it...

RE: Save $$$$

Keep in mind that the force still has to be transferred. You may save your rotor head at the expense of a more expensive part.

I'm not familiar enough with heli mechanics to know exactly what...

RE: I just made the very first controlled landing!

Maybe it's just me, but it seems a better idea to use something flat rather than a phone book. Or just use some tape to mark a sqaure on the carpet if you're flying indoors.

Watching that video...

RE: hbfp batts

I've seen a few good reviews for the Mega Power lipos that HeliDirect sells, the 7.4V x 850 MaH packs.

RE: ESKY LAMA 4 THREAD

I don't know about the E-Flight blades. It seems when I gave them a glance at my LHS they looked like they wouldn't work on the Lama (different grip end - not sure the technical term). However, the...

RE: ESKY LAMA 4 THREAD

Yeah, I just put on a set of those Deal Extreme blades a couple of days ago. SIGNIFICANTLY stronger than the stock blades, and $2 a set... and free shipping!

Get some.

RE: Newbie Here and also excited.

The main blades are pretty tough. You''re more likely to break other parts. Watch nuttcaze''s videos. There''s one where he goes through commonly broken parts.

RE: Newbie Here and also excited.

I don''t know what happened, but I posted to this thread (and a few others) on 04/12 and all those posts are gone. [:o]

Anyway, somewhere around $90 - $100 is right for the HBFP. If you order...

RE: Newbie Here and also excited.

For learning, and for the ability to fly outdoors, many will recommend the Honey Bee FP (HBFP). This is one of the most popular starter helis. I just got mine (only flown it once so far), but I can...

RE: What can heli's do

Sorry for that long "link" earlier. I tried to imbed the video, but it didn't work (thought I could just use the "code" function). I must have fixed it pretty soon after you posted. I know I...

RE: just got a hbfp and have tons of questions

Well honestly, I've only flown it once (now need to order a flybar/paddles). But, I just used a couple of rubber bands to attach it under the 4-in-1.

Apparently the Blade CP skid/battery tray is...

RE: ESKY LAMA 4 THREAD

I believe by "soft dog", they're referring to the USB cable for the sim.

Interesting about the shipping charges from China. Doesnt' Deal Extreme ship from China? I ordered four sets of their...

RE: What can heli's do

I assume you've seen this:

Alan Szabo Jr. on YouTube

I'm a new heli flyer, so don't have the point of view of an expert. However IMO, helis and planes have very different appeals.

If...

RE: Mini or Micro Indoor Helicopter ????

I'll vote for the Lama V3 or V4. Personally I have a V4. They're basically the same except for the body. These are both popular models and spare parts are generally pretty easy to get. There is also...
