RE: Brushless and Powerpoles

Another advantage to the powerpoles is the ability to slide apart the connectors and run two packs in series for higher cell applications without having to make 10+ cell packs.

RE: Need some ofna measurements!!!

The plan for this one is going to be running a BK Warrior 9920 but I haven't settled on a motor yet. Probably whatever they group it with to save money in a combo. It's going to start at around...

RE: Need some ofna measurements!!!

That's basically what I've been looking for on e-bay. Probably going to be a 9.5 roller that I use but I'm only going to use the drivetrain and maybe the hubs. It's going to be a electric so I have...

RE: epoxy waterproofed esc?

Have you looked into liquid electrical tape? A bottle of it is like $5 at hardware stores, that just might take care of what you're looking for... I think epoxy would be about the same.

RE: All terrain tire recommendations?

I run Proline Dirt Hawgs which have some pretty nice offroad grip and can still roll out 33mph on road. They give good enough grip on road to corner on three wheels too.

RE: every thing needed in order to drive in heavy rain?

Two things you need to know... If it's electric(receiver, servo etc...), waterproof it. Second, after you run it, tear the exposed drivetrain down and clean/regrease it. And of course with the...

RE: Attention XXX-S drifters!

Where there doesn't seem to be many xxx-s drifters here I'll try to help ya out with general suspension knowlege. First off you'll want to lock the rear diff up to keep the rears spinning in unison...

RE: A tamiya kit?

I've run into a few people that've had no problems running the SS5800 in their TT-01s. I'd be a little iffy putting something that fast in it just for the crash at speed factor... :)

RE: Painted my TT01 skyline!

It's just a stock TT-01 with a P2k2, alu drivshaft, bearings and now ABS tires. They do make a Scooby TT-01D, here are the specs from tower hobbies site;
Based on the user-friendly TT-01, this...

RE: Need sum help

You should go with a kit for a number or reasons, probably the best being that you will know how to fix your own car. You also get to choose what radio, motor and servo you get so you'll be set up...

RE: 190mm or 200mm bodies for TT-01

You can either glue the pipe to the rims or you can make a layered rim of electrical tape to where you have to force the PVC/ABS onto the rim. I am doing that once my ABS precuts come since you can...

RE: 190mm or 200mm bodies for TT-01

I posted the link to the dishing tutorial, you can also get offset rims up to 6mm I think on some models. And yes the TT-01 has the standard hexes. Here's mine with HPI 7 spokes.

RE: 190mm or 200mm bodies for TT-01

If the 200mm body is too wide you can dish your wheels to match the body.

***Edit; Figured I should throw a link in here too.

RE: My TL-01 I got for $50 + Drift Kings body.

Decent looking TL-01 chassis you got there, should do you just fine! I just got my P2K2 Pro into my TT-01 drifter and it's fantastic, so if you're looking for a good drifting motor for about $30 the...

RE: makin drift tires?

Oh, well nitro... Yeah, drift radials are the way to go but you'd be safe with ABS too.

RE: makin drift tires?

Hmm... As far as the drifting community is concerned, ABS is top and PVC is a close second being just a little harder of a material(Granted drift spec tires are sweet but come at an exponential cost...

RE: makin drift tires?

ABS or PVC is the way to go, but with tape I went with a straight down the center, easier to break traction in straight line but edges help control the drift.

RE: Thinking About Drifting.........

Any 4wd will do for drifting nitro or electric, although electric is the preferred choice. With the Stage D kit you get an amazing set up for drifting which costs about 10x what a 10ft tube of PVC...

RE: Tamyia Drift Tires

I was also in the same quest and so far as I've found, every place that sells them including e-bay is with rims as a pair. Not too bad at $17.50 or so a pair, but still no good if you want other...

RE: Since the drifting board doesn't get much traffic...

Yeah, they're PVC. Home depot around me doesn't carry ABS. I just order some precut Drift Specialties off e-bay(black ABS). I just finished painting the wing and mirrors so I'll grab some pics...

RE: Since the drifting board doesn't get much traffic...

I'm realy pleased with the way it came out. Looks black until light hits it. My best paint job so far! Although it's the only one without something that was taped off!
