RE: Half-tank lean prob.. how to fix?

Whitesox,

A couple of 2" coils (zip tied to keep them from becoming dislodged & or kinked) added to the fuel line works pretty good.

RE: wich st?

For racing you will want a Losi XXX-NT or an Associated RC10GT.

Personally I prefer the Losi but the Associated wont gimp you on the track.

RE: Help me ID this engine model

It appears to be an O.S. CV .15 (the blue cooling head designates it as .15 anyway)

I am not sure if it will drop directly into your FW-05T, but maybe another FW-05T owner will know.

RE: A question about After Run Oil.

I have been using Marvel Mystery Oil for years & it works fantastic, before switching to Marvel Mystery Oil, I used 3-in-1 Oil which also worked great.

Neko,

Welcome to the forum & welcome to the hobby!

If you are only on your third tank of fuel, then you are still in the process of breaking in the engine.

You might want to re-read...

RE: problems with brand new savage X

Go ahead and call HPI for a replacement, in the mean-time you can chuck the roto-starter shaft up in a cordless drill until the replacement arrives.

RE: problems with brand new savage X

Go ahead and pop open the rotostart, the gears might just have been torqued out of alignment.

RE: problems with brand new savage X

Motohead,

I think you are confusing nitrous oxide (which has a cooling effect on internal combustion engines) with nitric acid.

The "nitro" in RC fuel is a nitric acid (a liquid explosive...

RE: Tracks?

If storage space is a problem & you are going to be running on pavement, you could probably use side-walk chalk or plastic cones to mark out a course.

Granted its not going to have the "barrier"...

RE: problems with brand new savage X

I forgot to ask if you primed the engine?

The easiest way to prime the engine is to put your finger over the exhaust (without your glowstarter on), hit the rotostart for a couple of seconds...

RE: Tracks?

It cost around $50 for a 100' roll at places like Lowes, Home Depot, & the Tractor Supply Company, etc.

You could also...
