Hello Mogley. Apparently water based clear varnishes do work. The trick is you have to let it cure for a week or two. I've not tried this before, but maybe you could try a Google search.

'Cos they had a much longer range than the other allied fighters and were involved in more dogfights while escorting the bombers. Not saying it wasn't a great fighter, but the reason for the increase...

Sorry lads, was gonna let it go..... but it is very important to note, that amount of right thrust should be judged on flight characteristics, and most definitely not ground handling....... sorry...

That's it Todd. We all just lined it up to centre with the cowl, or as close as possible. Like I said, the 1/4 of an inch that you're off is fine,don't worry about it. Keep it simple. If it lines up...

All the centre lines on the earlier ones were off Tim. Looks like they have corrected this on the later batch, along with a better elevator set up and tail wheel set up. You nearly finished?

You need to mount the engine so it centers with the cowl Todd. It does not matter which way the engine is mounted. Right thrust is already built in to the firewall. It is right for engineering...
