RE: Super Tigre 2300 Mid Range Woes

Mine took alot of effort but it is now a strong running engine. I upgraded the throttle barrel to STs latest design. I started using an OS F Plug with onboard glow to help idle. I also am using a...

RE: Sig Kougar Questions

Loud is good, I hope it screams like a F1 racer. Never used 6V before wonder if my Sirius Smart Charger can handle that.

RE: Just ordered Phoenix Extra 300

While an OS .52 will fly it, and btw is my favorite OS 4-stroke, I do not think you will be happy with the performance. I would put an OS .70 on it if I was going to go the 4-stroke route.

I enjoyed buildiung and flying mine. I came out under 5lbs, I did replace all of the linkages with DuBro as the supplied stuff is pretty crappy. .46AX power 11x6 prop. I would recommended it to...

Sig Kougar Questions

After considering a Patriot or a F20, I decided to go with a plane that has been well proven over the years and that I have seen fly before. I am going to buy a Sig Kougar kit to break myself into...

RE: Phoenix Extra 300S engine - Super Tigre .61 ABC or Tower Hobbies .75 ABC??

It depends on whether you have the updated ARF or the old version. The updated version really builds light, you will notice by the pictures in the manual that the old version had lots of extra wood...

RE: Just ordered Phoenix Extra 300

I just completed building one and it is ver light. Had to add 1oz of weight to the nose to get it to balance. Looking at the pictures in the manual it seems I have a newer kit. The manual shows solid...

RE: Prop Jet for a Grass Field

That is something that scares me. It is a typical East Texas Berumda Hay grass type field. It is mowed weekly, but it is not golf course quality grass. Truly small planes can not use it to take off...

RE: jerrys big boy by morris hobbies

I would still kill for a Stick like plane over 80" that was fast and fairly acrobatic that didn't cost a thousand dollars. I have looked at GP's Giant Stik, but heck I don't want to do a recover and...

RE: jerrys big boy by morris hobbies

How does the BB handle flying at full throttle with say an OS 1.20 4 Stroke. I like 3D planes, but I also like a plane that will groove while carrying a bit of speed. In 3D I always worry about...

RE: Super Tigre 2300 Mid Range Woes

I have a ST 2300 on my Sig Extra ARF and the mid range is a dog. I have heard that this is a well documented problem with this engine and that it can be fixed by machining the carb, replacing with an...
