haha ron i did it already. used a lighted bobber and worm. biggest was maybe a half a pound!

left the controller in bottom of boat and was saturated. need a new one? will that work?

I had a similar range problem after submerging my Futaba receiver, turned out a coil was shorted out and severely limited the range, like you described.
Sent it to the manufacturer and got the...

the damn thing is not responding from anything over 10 feet.

i cannot figure this out.

the motor and servos run perfectly when the control is up close to the boat.

what is going on?

thanks so much man. yeah i took apart the receiever and boat but not the servos.

it is weird. everything mechanically works right but the distance is reduced.

cleaning all the parts made...

ok i took the controller apart and the boat and cleaned with rubbing alcohol.
i blew with canned air.
the distance is farther - range is now 10 feet.

hey guys - i left my rc (electric) boat out in the rain and the controller.

i drained the boat and then dried out the controller.

everything works fine up close but it seems the radio...

ya i towed a beer can (full) to a neighboring boat in need with a nikko boat. u could also try to make a loop with the line and tie it really good the the under side of the hatch cover if there is...

hey guys - i got a cheap nikko boat - 2.5 feet long.

i am going to adirondaks over the weekend and we are on a quiet and calm lake.

i want to make a harness for the boat and add a leader...
