RE: Parkflyers Daredevil 3D bi-plane review

Sorry they didn't have that. I guess most of the stuff I've gotten from them is bigger parts like props and motors.

I think the link was bad on the video: try Dare Devilthis one.

RE: Parkflyers Daredevil 3D bi-plane review

Try this place for parts. They REALLY know their stuff! http://www.redrockethobbies.com/

Crashed my Daredevil into a tree last summer but it only cracked the wing base. I think I can glue it...

RE: Parkflyers Daredevil 3D bi-plane review

Here is my final Parkzone P-51 flight and crash.
5-20-07 Flight crash

I had juiced up the plane a bit with a LIPO battery (and you change a jumper on the receiver to make it compatible with...

RE: Parkflyers Daredevil 3D bi-plane review

Thanks DJ,
Yes it IS a very troublefree model and the only one I have with wheels so its fun to practice landings and takeoffs with it on my one smooth dirt road on my ranch. The control surfaces...

RE: Parkflyers Daredevil 3D bi-plane review

Hey Guys,
Just chiming in to say I've had this plane for a few months and have really enjoyed it. If any of you know me from my PZ P-51 experience you KNOW I can't leave anything mediocre...

RE: ParkZone P-51 Mustang RTF

Well put darnold! I say put a set of Deans connectors on em, lube the control wires, and strengthen the wing with a CF spar or Therm-o-web adhesive laminate along the bottom, add a LIPO battery and...

RE: ParkZone P-51 Mustang RTF

I have the swallow advanced charger and have not used a balancer in the past. Someone suggested the Hyperion on an Aussie thread. The balancer is seperate so it doesn't matter which brand you use...

RE: ParkZone P-51 Mustang RTF

4 minutes on a battery is too short. You should get 6 minutes even at mostly WOT.

RE: ParkZone P-51 Mustang RTF

Hi mcboone,
Yes I added the cardboard strip AETCBoom4 refers to and it helps alot. I never had to add weight to the front (a poor bandaid IMHO) but the strip along with downtrim fixed that problem...

RE: ParkZone P-51 Mustang RTF

N7OR
I had great results from Horizon's customer service but I contacted them directly. They always gave me anything I claimed went wrong with the plane such as: one whole plane, 2 motors, and a...

RE: ParkZone P-51 Mustang RTF

Most guys get good results from lock tite or epoxy but roughen up the shaft first with coarse sand paper.

RE: ParkZone P-51 Mustang RTF

That's true that I'll have to see how it fits the stock shaft since I'm not using an outrunner this time. Its been way too windy here to fly and I'm waiting on some parts from Red Rocket.

RE: ParkZone P-51 Mustang RTF

Hey AETC.
Using the 4 blade with the Axi BL and E-Flite 40 amp esc the amperage use was still high enough to melt the shrinkwrap off my powerzone module after about 10 flights! It still works...

RE: ParkZone P-51 Mustang RTF

Yeah I agree darnold. I think my only problems (of MANY hours flying the P-51) were shorts because of the cheap connectors. Put on Deans and you're good to go!

I just bought a used P-51 off...

Neat pix Sniper1. What type camera do you use?
As far as colliding with another plane I'd be amazed if it ever happened. I TRIED several times to ram slow flying buzzards and its much harder than...

Hey 7, try one of these versions depending upon what you have in mind.
Parkzone J3 Cub landing gear that I cut in half. I then replaced the stock foam wheels and put 2 x
2-1/4" Dubro low bounce...

RE: ParkZone P-51 Mustang RTF

Hey guys. As I had a question from AETCBoom4 about wing braces and such I thought I'd reply to the whole group in case anyone else needs this info.

Here are some pictures of my wing spar insert....

RE: ParkZone P-51 Mustang RTF

I've seen a video of someone throwing it underhanded holding it just in front of the canopy. ??? I worked in their video but you don't have much throwing power that way and holding the cowl there is...

RE: ParkZone P-51 Mustang RTF

Yeah Gunracer you've described it perfectly. It IS inherently unstable throwing it that way. I've read on here of people grabbing the fuse under the cowl in front of the wing but that area is rather...

RE: ParkZone P-51 Mustang RTF

O1SCSS which 2200 3 cell lipos are you using? Just curious as I am thinking of making another Stang for the coming summer or selling off all my stang goodies like Powerzone module, Axi 2808/24...

RE: ParkZone P-51 Mustang RTF

While I have spun 2 pinions in about 50 flights you can avoid it happening often by making sure to kill the motor when you do your landing flare. Even if the prop is still spinning when you land the...

RE: ParkZone P-51 Mustang RTF

I think you used too much or didn't shake the can enough. You need to wear your arm out shaking this stuff before use. If you get too much in there, is too old or the stuff doesn't get shaken enough...

Hey Lostsoul, how do you upload your videos to the RCgroups site? [:-] I have several videos of my stang on my Sony 8mm camera and no idea how to upload them. What camera do you use?
