I believe the SH uses a Alloy carb, while the STS has a composite. Meaning the STS should be a little easier to tune, and hold a tune.

When I first got mine I ran AA's. But it didn't respond very well and went through them very fast. I highly recomend picking up a reciever pack, it makes a noticable difference.

Look for somthing thats broke or cracked. I would guess your carb or header is cracked or not sealed, allowing air to be sucked in. Look it over very carefully.

I got a set of the Losi shoes with springs. They worked great, untill I blew my engine. i got them from killer Hobbies, and I think they were under $20.
