Cougar, The retract installation looks great... However I would still recommend a set of metal retract boxes around the plastic bases. That way that can never crack on a bounced landing.

My AT-6 had ten good landings before I bounced one and the retracts tore up the wing and the plastic housings broke into several pieces. .

Since the reinforcement boxes, I have had 143 landings...

Some of the pilots have installed Robart gear but most have used the standard gear with my reinforcement boxes with out tearing up the wings.

You will get a better wheel response, especially with the wheel mounted backward, if you replace the spring wire with a piece of piano wire. You will have to drill out the hole a little but it works...

Try an Auto Paint store that does custom painting. They matched a couple of model paint jobs for me that were perfect matches for about $10.00 for a 3 oz jar. It is a lacquer however, Volitile???

Take the cap off and put it in the microwave for 10 seconds. It works fine. Iv'e done it often.

They make longer arms for all makes of servos. Go to Tower and check out the options. I recall they come in several lengths in one package.

It only takes 3/4" to 1"" of throw for this a warbird. About 1 1/2" on the rudder. It doesn't take a lot of torque. I used HiTec H-475's on everything but the throttle. But I only use HiTec...
