RE: Hooking up retracts with JR 6102 Tx

Thanks guys! I will try it this evening, but it sounds like that is the problem. I had forgotten that I had dual airelons set-up. I think I will use a y-harness for those and keep the retracts on...

Hooking up retracts with JR 6102 Tx

Hi.

I am attempting to install my first set of retracts in an E-flite Sea Fury. Last night I thought that I had it, with the retracts working properly. I had hooked up one gear to the gear...

SIG Fazer CG and throws

Hi, I bought a SIG Fazer used and was wondering if anyone had a manual and could post the recommended throws and CG placement? A friend flew it today and found the CG too fat to the rear.

RE: 2nd Build-Sig Something Extra

I just started flying the SSE, and am not an expert, but the rubber bands scared me too. Someone at the field uses a spring in his SSE, and he was nice enough to give me one. It worked nicely, but...

RE: Modelers and cats

3 cats here. Countless hours spent trying to tune an engine to only find out that there is cat hair in the carb! That is now my first optiion if it seems to be running a little lean. I know, I...

RE: First build: Venture 60 vs Sig 4* 60

You cannot beat the support for the Venture 60. I was stuck on the build on a Sunday afternoon, and I called BTE thinking I would leave a message. Bruce answers, then answers my stupid question,...

RE: Any reviews on Great Planes YAK 55 3D FlightFlex EP?

I bought this plane for my son and me to have a tough, cheap plane that would give us some confidence to expand our envelope. I got mad at my son when he flew over the pits and grounded him. He...

Sig Somethin Extra questions

Hi,

I just purchased a used SSE. The plane is in pretty nice shape, but I don't have a manual and could use advice from someone that might have a SSE.

First - what are the recommended...

RE: Changing TX channels, Myth or Fact?

OK, I am more than convinced by the radio manufacturers stated FAQ not to change crystals to another frequency. What about JR radios, where to adjust the tension on the sticks, you need to remove...

RE: Dropped transmitter - what would you do?

Update. Sent it to Horizon last Thursday, got it back today. They replaced the broken gear switch and gave it an OK on all functions and signal for $21, their shipping included. Plus the $15 I...

Hi,

Does anyone have suggestions for settings on an aerobatic plane (Yak, Extra, Edge, Cap) that will make them behave more realistically? It seems that most of these planes will slow to...

RE: alpha 40 reviews

I bought the Aplha 60 RTF for my 13 year-old and myself. No regrets. Great visibility (it's big!), stable in the wind for a trainer, pretty tough - and it helped both of us solo after several...

RE: Ok looking for a good rtf trainer gas

If you have the money, I have no regrets getting the Hangar 9 Alpha 60. It was ready to fly in less than an hour (battery charging not included :) ), is very visible, and pretty tough. It had an...

RE: Dropped transmitter - what would you do?

I'm convinced. Not worth the chance of hurting somebody. Of course, I am interested in what the cost will be for exam - might be time to upgrade! :)

Dropped transmitter - what would you do?

Hi there,

My son dropped my JR 6102 transmitter while unhooking from the flight simulator. Externally, it bent the flap lever. There was also a screw loose inside, similar to the ones holding...

RE: thoughts about eflite p47d thunderbolt

Well, I have been thinking of getting one based on the performance of one at the club. I think the guy has a Park 450 outrunner in it. He is a good pilot, but not real experienced, and he handleed...

RE: 8 Channel receiver only 8 ports one for battery??

Ken,

If you have two batteries hooked to 2 different channels, does the receiver draw from both all the time, or does one provide power unless it fails? If the latter, how is it determined?

RE: please help, im a newb

If you have a little extra cash I would look at the Hanger 9 Alpha 60. My 13 year-old son and I successfully learned to fly on it. The quality seems pretty good; it absorbed some rough landings. I...

Does Monokote stick to CA spots?

Hi,

I have just started my first kit in 30 years (Venture 60) and was wondering if covering will stick to areas that have smoothed CA glue on them. On my first wing, the medium CA ran much...

RE: I need help with my 4 Star 40! Warped wings

Hi,

It looks to me like you have 3 choices, 2 of which have already been discussed. Fly it as is, replace the wing, or my suggestion, try to flatten the wings with the help of a little water. ...

We are flying out of Flying Tigers of Jordan Lake. Are you the Chuck that I know?

Hi,

I'm sure that you have your system already. But for others that are curious, this system rocks with AFPD!

RE: What Sim Packaged with Hanger 9 Alpha

It's called Cockpit Master. I could never get it to work right. At least, the plane vibrated terribly, at worst it put the plane in some snap roll dive with no input. I found the free FMS software...
