Reviving a long quiet thread- I understand that CH Ignitions was taken over by someone (Adrian??), but the web site has been "undergoing maintenance" for a while. Any word on what is happening?

RE: Making Balsa USA Eindecker 40 more scale?

Nicely done!!

Where did you get the metal cowl? Any comments about how you did the "engine turning"? Did you use the dremel brush in a drill with steel wool trick, or something helse?

RE: Making Balsa USA Eindecker 40 more scale?

If the upload process for your photos doesn't work, could you post a link to the photos uploaded elsewhere, or a link to a photo showing what the "random squiggle" pattern should look like. It would...

RE: Making Balsa USA Eindecker 40 more scale?

OK- so our disagreement isn't great- it's about the details of the brushing- the shape of the individual elements and the way that they are arranged overall. Do you have a good source for what that...

RE: Making Balsa USA Eindecker 40 more scale?

Some comments in response to your assertion that Eindecker cowls weren't brushed or machined. First, noting the picture you use by your signature, I suspect that your knowledge of Eindeckers may be...

RE: Making Balsa USA Eindecker 40 more scale?

A wonderful idea- bashing a BUSA kit into something that looks a bit more like the real thing. I did it, and am eager to repair it and get it back into the air- dumb thumbs!!

First thing to do-...

RE: What/Where are the largest Warbird events?

Don't forget the Rhinebeck Jamboree at the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome in Rhinebeck, NY (abut 80 miles N of NYC in the Hudson Valley). This year will be our 47th time the event has been run. It's held...

RE: Fokker Eindecker 90 by Balsa USA ?

I hope that you go ahead and build it. We have two in my family and enjoy them very much. They are lovely, docile, fliers when powered by gas 20 - 26 cc engines, and can be tossed around a bit if...

RE: Warbirds Over Delaware 2012

We plan to stay at the Homewood Suites. Works very well for a family- a nice (indoor) pool, free dinners, good breakfasts. We usually get a suite- one couple (with child0 stays on one side, other...

RE: Model identification- Fournier RF5 1.55m ws?

Thanks, Steve. I looked at the Easytiger web site. The picture certainly looks like mine, but they say that theirs has a 54" wingspan, while mine is 61".

Model identification- Fournier RF5 1.55m ws?

Friends- at the recent NCRCC Auction, I purchased a very nice model of what appears to be a Fournier RF5. But I don't know who designed or manufactured it. It appears to be either an ARF or, more...

RE: About 2.4 GZ equipment

One more reason- some of the larger meets are going to all 2.4. If you go to any meet at all, having your plane on 2.4 often means that you don't have to impound your radio, with the hassle of going...

RE: Need some info on my GP Super Sportster 90

Thanks, Ray. 4" is a little in front of the 4 3/8" that Great Planes specifies, so I'll aim for your number for my first flights.

Tbone- You mention going to two servos on the ailerons. How did you do that- did you put them side by side in the center of the wing, each to drive one torque rod, or did you do surgery to install...
