RE: Sewn Hinges on HOB mustang.

I just slapped it together, I didn't want to get too fancy, as the entire tail is such rough shape.

Ideally, should I be threading the string through 6 sets of holes set very close together?

RE: Maybe Fast Scat Cat/Jett

I'm not a pylon racer, and I may be too late, but if you are having troubles with the nose being heavy, I'd avoid adding the 6.7oz cloth. It doesn't add up to much, but a little means alot on the...

Sewn Hinges on HOB mustang.

Greetings once again.

Since I had such a blast once I got the engine running, I figured I'd better figure out why I lost the tail in my 1/12th scale HOB Mustang.

The tail had been broken...

RE: AP wasp 061.

Thanks for all the input guys

I flew the plane today. I ended up getting a new engine, they are cheap, and the LHS had a couple on the shelf. (as well as AP glow buttons). Before I flew the new...

RE: AP wasp 061.

Thanks guys.

So far I've swapped the fuel lines, gone over the engine again, and I'm heading out right now to go get a tap to try to build a turbo head for it. The plug blew on me, probably...

AP wasp 061.

I'm having issues with my little engine.

I have built a HOB Mustang, and installed an 061 in it. I can get the little bugger to run fine on the ground. As soon as I pick it up though, it sags...

RE: Cheap Vaccum Forming machine Maybe?

How large of a canopy are you wanting to do?? If it is relatively small, you can get a plastic pop bottle, cut off the bottom, insert your plug, shim the void with something hard (wood or something),...

Vaccum bagging question.

I just acquired a vaccum pump from a buddy, and I know it's good enough for bagging, but I'm almost thinking it's too much.
It's rated at 5 CFM, and will pull 30 inches. I have read that around 18...

RE: Is it Possible?

JR is positve. I checked with mine. I have dialed in negative as someone told me to, and it was rocking and rolling!

In regards to the crash, it could have been any number of things, all of...

RE: Glassing a GWS Formosa?

Lighter the better. I actually added a strip of carbon fibers from 1 wingtip to the other. This was not a technical build, I just grabbed stuff I could get my hands on and literally slapped it on....

RE: Glassing a GWS Formosa?

I did it with my Stryker. The things flys like it's on a laser now, and comes in smoking hot! I think I'm pushing 100MPH on the flat.

I used 3/4 ounce cloth, and gooped on some West Sytems...

RE: Is it Possible?

With the 6102, make sure the "expo graph" goes starts shallow, then gets steeper. YOu are looking for a positive #. I recalled from memory, and just checked my radio. I have a 6102.

RE: Very Bad Luck

Tony, you got that plane dialed in yet? I keep thinking about this "free" plane you received, but you sure busted your tail meeting everyones demands (which weren't out of line). This is one of those...

RE: Need help with Mold design

I'm sorry, but I need to ask.

These multi part cowls are laid up in the mold with all the pieces bolted together? (seems obvious, I just need clarification for my brain)

Is it just a layup...

RE: what happens when you do full power split S into 30mph winds...

Nothing a little bit of heat, some glues, a few chunks of wood, and some covering wouldn't fix!!!

RE: hitting a lazybee!?!?!?!, has anyone ever done this.

The little bipe, is it a kit, or did you bash something?

These airframes look so wrong. I may have to put one together. I have an Enya 19 looking for a home.

RE: Very Bad Luck

K, what's left? Good to see it's all coming together so fast. That engine looks like it's made to just run, that's why it started so good. With a new engine, you would have been fiddling with it for...

RE: How much for a motor mount?

I'll take that bubble wrap off your hands if you give me $20. Heck, make it Canadian dollars.

I'm blown away by the price of that motor mount. A few of the LHS have these on their shelves and...

I love the Photo shop pics.

RE: Crunching Balsa

That didn't crash. It exploded. Nice pics. Too bad the plane had to be hurt to get em.
