Trimming for a good glide.

This question is about an RC electric glider. I realize this a FF forum, but I figure you people know way more about trimming than the RC guys. Last winter I built a Dynaflite Butterfly motor...

Corona CR8D 2.4Ghz Polarity

Recently bought the Corona CR8D Rx 2.4Ghz receiver. It has no markings on the receiver about how to plug in the servos, (which is signal?). Another odd thing about it is I can't seem to plug a servo...

RE: Uniflow tank pressure

Thanks to everyone for their help. The engine runs great now. The pressue nipple was clogged. The fact that it was sticking straight up made me think that it couldn't be the problem. While I was...

RE: Uniflow tank pressure

One of the problems I may be having is that the muffler may not be building much pressure. It sure doesn't quiet the engine any.

RE: Uniflow tank pressure

I have made an attempt to convert an old tank into a uniflow following what i have read on this forum. I haven't tried the metal Perfect tank yet. I figured the plastic tank I'm using on the test...

Uniflow tank pressure

I have always had trouble with consistant runs out of my C/L planes. They start off rich and wind up too lean. I mounted a muffler onto a McCoy 29 and sent pressure to a plastic clunk tank. No matter...

RE: Looking for Octura Kool Klamps to buy

I was rummaging through a parts box when I came across an Octura Kool Klamp. I ran a search and an old thread of yours came up. Can you tell me what these are used for? A smoke system? I have a #12....

RE: Diesels are dead - apparently!

Just want to jump in here with some information on the Honker Bipe. It was designed by the glider guy Dave Thornburg. R/C Modeller ran the plans in the March 1974 issue. Looks super simple to...

When are glow plugs shot?

I'm using low nitro fuel(10%) in my OS LA .40. It kept running rougher the last 3 times I had it out. The glow plug still lights up so I figured that wasn't the problem. I then went to adjust on the...

RE: Gas prop on an elecric plane?

The prop hole diameter is no problem. The emotor shaft is 8mm so I would have to ream the prop anyway. After thinking about it, the prop shouldn't care whether the 8000 rpm came from a piston or a...

Gas prop on an elecric plane?

New to electric flight but I have flown C/L for 35 yrs and R/C for 3. Just finished building a Barnstormer manufactured in the mid 90's and intended for a .30 size glow engine. I have hung a Turnigy...

I have a .30 size 48" span plane that has a Turnigy C4240-900 motor, 60A ESC, 14.8v 4000mAh lipo, and this is the first time I'm using a UBEC. The plane is 90% finished and the way the components are...

RE: Randolph Bee-Tween

Rich, about that dope you have, be careful because it does have a limited shelf life. I kept mine out in the garage and after two years it began to crystallize in the can. Had to throw it out. This...

RE: Diesels are dead - apparently!

Hopefully the two gallons will last me a long long time, anyway, the price won't be going down anytime soon. I also have a friend that has a couple of diesel C/L planes. If I didn't prod him along...
