RE: Non-Futaba FASST receivers.

If they should upgrade then they would have to upgrade all the receivers that were sold prior to the upgrade and that would make alot of folks unhappy. I don't think so.

RE: TECHone Mini-YAK 54 EPP Build

Looks good. I am interested in the 31in Yak. Bigger they are the better they fly. Have owned a couple of Techone models and can say that they are first cless in every way.

RE: Modeltech Super Cub

This is a steal at 139. I think shipping is about 20 bucks or so. It is a steal.

RE: EXI-450 discussions/mods/scale projects

I think the 450 size is perfect. When we move up above that then the expense rises pretty fast. My EXI 450 flies about as good as anything I have seen. Best bang for the buck is the 450 in my opinion.

RE: EXI-450 discussions/mods/scale projects

Tip on the nuts for the servos. Just glue some small rectangle pieces of plastic to the underside of the servo mounts(to the servo itself). Drill a small pilot hole through it and stick it in the...

RE: Experiences buying from xheli.

I have ordered several times from Xheli in the last few months and all I can say is that I have been 100% pleased with them. Every order has shipped within a day or so,mostly same day. I don't think...

RE: Which engine? Goldberg Cub

Put a .52 4 stroke in it and that will be plenty. I have a 5th scale Sig cub with the .52 and it is perfect. Nothing looks sillier than a Piper j3 flying like a pattern ship.

RE: Ultrafly Furious

This is not super glue. Its similar to contact cement. You will have to tape the parts together to let it set up.

RE: Ultrafly Furious

RE: Piper Cub J3 1/4 - SIG or Balsa USA

The Sig 1/4 kit wing is not one piece. It is designed as a two piece wing. I know as I have built two of them. You would have a tough time getting a 105 in or so wing in a car or truck. The kit has a...

RE: Piper Cub J3 1/4 - SIG or Balsa USA

The sig is the way to go. The struts are functional. I have built two of the Sig kits and they are super quality and I think dead on tru scale. The sig will fly fine with a 4 stroke .90. Anothe...

RE: Trailing edge bow

I would slice the trailing edge with a sharp knife first. Pin it back down on a flat surface and wick in cya to the length of the joint. Sand it again to a taper if needed.

.30 magnum 4 stroke if you want an easy fit in the cowl and flight like a real Cub with a hot 65 hp 4 cyl lyco or cont.

RE: Engine choice for Sig 1/6 Cub

.30 4 stroke. The .52 is too much in my opinion. A .25 will also work fine. I have built several and this does not need a lot of hp to move.

RE: Top-flite GS P-51D Warped Wing

My experience says strip the sheeting. Its not what you probably want to hear but I would go ahead and do it. If it were mine I would bite the bullit and strip the sheeting. You might get away with...

RE: Sig cub choice!

If you are using floats then the .52 will surely work fine. Only trouble you might run into is fitting the .52 into the cowl. The .52 just barely fit my 5th scale cub at least length wise. You might...
