A 4.8v pack is usually more than enough voltage for the electronic ignition. I'm regulating my LiFe battery to 5 volts and it works fine.

Are you regulating the battery voltage to 6V? Because the electronic ignition modules don't tolerate much more than 6V and a 6V NIMH fully charged is more than 6.V.

I enjoy the extra workload. I also don't use any mixes when I fly my 3D planes, either. Either way, the challenge of flying the model is what gives me enjoyment, not programming a radio. :rolleyes:
