RE: 2012 Jets Over Whidbey - Coupeville, WA - Who's In!

Chris's Squared (the two chris's Shaker and Rankin) and William Rankin from Oregon are 85% sure we are coming up. Still hammering details out. One of us has been sick lately so it's not 100% yet. ...

RE: Llow time turbines for sale - Beware

Don't forget that Jet fuel by nature can contain / absorb higher amounts water.

I would have never thought about internal rust being an issue and I have one P 70 that hasn't flown in a year.

RE: heat with a 2009 R6014FS

Got the same issue myself, older 6014FS in a recent acquisition.. I understand newer versions have the gold dot but I've not seen one with the dot as yet. Think I will swap to the 6014HS just for...

RE: JPO Update on FAA

After talking to Bruce Nelson AMA's District XI VP at our annual meeting, there appears to be an accountability issue inside AMA when it comes to matters of the website. Bruce admits that these are...

Guys, I just spent four days with Bruce at his Rogue Valley shop at the end of January, what a gracious host, and one fine designer builder. I also got to see the little gnomes he employs to pack...

RE: Reaction 54 Jet Kit

I'm using HS 5985's and HS 5645's. However I did have a 5645 on one of the flaps go south on me after about flight #30. Both of these were swapped out for HS 5485HB's and so far no issues and the...

RE: Great Planes Rifle

Thanks for posting those numbers. Seems like right about 350W is a good place to be. I'm more afraid of the size than the speed.. LOL, like you said, it goes away fast. I picked my ship up tonight...

RE: Support for Regulations By The FAA

Well, I have no intention of abiding by a 400' alt restriction, a 100mph speed limit, nor any other restriction. Law or not, I'm done with getting things taken away in this country. Why do you think...

RE: Changes to the Turbine Waiver test...

Just sad that one incident spawns a knee jerk reaction instead of the powers to be taking a good long look at this. I understand the need to use a turbine aircraft for the waiver however what about...

Couldn't agree more with Bev.. Fighting or complaining at each other won't solve the problems as we each have our own opinion’s. In this day and age of brother looking over our shoulder and the...

RE: Changes to the Turbine Waiver test...

12# minimum? Not sure I can totally agree with this one. If a guy owns a turbine powered model they should be allowed to waiver with it. It is a turbine powered model for the purpose of flying a...

RE: Reaction 54 Jet Kit

You're very welcome Chris.. Your airplane flies really nice and I can't wait to see you get to fly it more. I think the key word on landings with any of the R54's is patience.

:)
