RE: How does a brushless motor work?

I wonder why the original radial engines - you know, the ones where the engine spun, and the crankshaft remained in place? - why they went away? Was it torque? (yes - physics).
Ever ponder why...

RE: How does a brushless motor work?

The difference between the INrunner and the OUTrunner is easy.
Without techno-babble, the OUTrunner does this: the outer case (aka can) spins. The prop/ adaptor is bolted on the case.
On the...

RE: tower pro bm 2408-21 help esc

You should have a prop nut at the bottom of the shaft, then the prop, a flat washer, and another prop nut. The inside nut keeps the prop from slipping on the shaft.....

Well, you could buy the profile that Hobby Lobby has on discontinued/sale for $15 (as of today), then get a BP-21 (2408-21) motor and 18 amp ESC for around $20-25, a small lipo (740-1000mah) and...

RE: Parkflyers.com GEE BEE RTF 3D

As to which other planes the motor/esc is good for, depends on weight, mostly. However much the GB weighs should be the guiding factor for finding other planes that will work with that motor setup.

RE: Parkflyers.com GEE BEE RTF 3D

I don't know, Matt, but you could email Parkflyers.com and ask. They'll most likely reply to your request.
Good luck,

RE: Parkflyers.com GEE BEE RTF 3D

I learned to fly with a foamie profile - $20 and a bottle of CA. EZ to fix, and if you can it pretty well (comfortable to you), you'll be able to fly most anything else. At least I did.
Good luck,...

RE: Chris Chianelli

The girl on Inside RC is a PITA. She thinks she's the star, instead of letting the equipment be the show. Kinda smarmy.

RE: How does a brushless motor work?

Are you using a lipo specific charger? One cannot use just any charger for lipo batteries.

RE: Parkflyers.com GEE BEE RTF 3D

If you bought it from Parkflyers(?) they say the servo reversers are UNDER their name on the front. You have to peel it off. Not sure why, except heard they HAD to get their name on there. Bil
