Where did you get the lights?

Beautiful... I like how the light shines in the darkness.

RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

Thanks caspar21

About $150. I carefully selected most stuff on ebay to try to maximize my savings. It would have been a lot more if purchased elsewhere.

RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

I'll give it a try.
I had already tried starting it by putting a little fuel in the air intake and it fired up but died out after a few seconds.

Thanks again

RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

Hey gang,
I'm having problems with starting my OS 18 motor. I suspect it is a carburetor problem due to fuel being left in it. Has anyone experienced this? What's the best way to fix this?

RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

I think the MT2 is a better route to go.

RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

A technician at HPI told me that the G3.0 has upgraded diff's but he still recommends the 18ss+ as the best choice.

RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

I've been trying to start up the motor but to no avail. It had been sitting for several months through the winter. Glow plug is fine and the carb is getting fuel. Everything seems ok.
I need...

RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

Check the engine compression.... You might even want to sell the engine (if its the stock T15) and upgrade to the OS 18 CV-RX. If its the older RTR model then you would want to upgrade the...

RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

I think a better solution to the bulky roll cage is the roll bar by New Era Models that looks nice and is really sturdy and good for protection.

RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

The OS drops right in the existing motor mounts. The .18 CV-RX is an excellent motor. It has more than sufficient power for the MT2 setup.

The 3.0 diffs are suppose to be better than the older ones but still not as good as the 18SS+ diffs.

RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

I had a similar problem getting my new engine started. It turned out to be that the flywheel was not properly and tightly mounted.
