RE: My Goodness..........Castle's BIG Monster!!

Technically they use pulse width modulation similar to any VFD used in industry. In a VFD you'll have a rectifier to convert the three phase AC to DC and then an inverter (IGBT's) to "chop" it back...

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!

I run my 2s 2100 mah batteries in series all the time when I am outside. I only run it for a few minutes with fresh batteries mostly because I don't have a low voltage cut off. The speed is insane....

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!

Are there any aftermarket diffs or ring gears that can take the abuse or is this going to be a regular routine of replacing/repairing the diffs?

RE: OFFICIAL 8ight-T 2.0 Thread

Not sure about the Ofna. Not enough experience.

The telemetry does work out of the box, RPM and head temp. It is not an add-on, at least it wasn't on mine.

RE: OFFICIAL 8ight-T 2.0 Thread

Ya know, when I was disassembling my motor I noticed two things: 1. the glow plus gasket sucked. I had fuel puddling out from underneath it while it was running and 2. one of the screws holding the...

RE: OFFICIAL 8ight-T 2.0 Thread

RPM sensor is working. I shimmed it out 3/32" and works like a champ.

Break in is done. Took it for a couple laps around the yards and am real happy with it. Our track is closed for the week...

RE: OFFICIAL 8ight-T 2.0 Thread

I'd guess the gap between the sensor and the sticker is about 3/32". I'm not sure how much closer I could get it. I think to test it I will use one of the spare stickers and put it on a piece of...

RE: OFFICIAL 8ight-T 2.0 Thread

Yeah, I started breaking mine in last night. The motor was so tight on the top end that it would stall the box out with 2 freshly charged 3800 mAH batteries. lol. When the piston was stuck I would...

RE: OFFICIAL 8ight-T 2.0 Thread

I just picked mine up on Sunday. I have been out of the RC thing for a while so the RTR was the perfect kit for me to get back in. So far I've only charged the batteries and gone thru the manuals and...

RE: Battery options for T-Rex 600

As a follow up I have found a company in Canada that is giving me great prices on TP batteries and chargers.

The TP50006SX 22.2V, 6S, 5000 maH battery for $265 and the TP1010c and TP-210v...

RE: Battery options for T-Rex 600

Thanks for the info. From what you are saying I don't think I'll buy the Align's. One of the guys at my LHS had pretty much the same experience with his Align packs. Looks like I'll get the TP packs...

RE: Question on Futaba Gyro

RE: Futaba GY611 and JR 9303

OK, Aux2 on my radio is fixed at 100/100. If I were to change it to Aux3 I can swing it 140/140. I may just keep it at Aux2 mostly because Aux2 is preprogrammed for Auto Gyro Gain.
