When I fire up my OS18 in the REVO, it's like the pied piper of the neighborhood. Kids from everywhere flock to see what is causing that angry sound. Electric just can't turn heads like that...

RE: Engine increase factor for float plane conversion?

I also think that if you have something like an OS .40 you probably need to up size a tick. I have an Avistar with that engine and she could barely break away from the water. I went to an os .46...

RE: P40 Antenna route.

I know, there is a green mast included and the real airplane would suspend it from the mast to the rudder but I couldn't get my mast to secure in the styrofoam underneath. The instructions don't...

Extending the battery wire

I have a new Mayhem 40 that in order to get the right balance (5" from leading edge) I have to bury the battery in the tail. In order to do that, I must use a 12" futaba extener. Is that okay? I...

Tightening props on cheap plasic spinners

Okay. I know that it is almost impossible to overtighten a prop. That being said, I am trying to tighten the prop nut on a APC prop with a cheap plastic spinner backplate. I know you have all seen...

RE: Prop Bitten

Thank you for this post. I can see this happen to anyone. It really will renew my observance of safety. One thing to add is that an electric motor can deliver 100% of it's torque at zero RPM. ...

RE: SIG Mayhem 40: engine and servo recs

I am not an expert, but I am not sure if those servos are enough. The plane is HUGE for a 40 and the control surfaces are gigantic!

RE: Buying decision: Funtana 50 X or SIG Mayhem 40

I just put together the Mayhem 40 with a Saito 82 and am waiting to maiden so I will only reply to what I know. What I know is that this is the highest quality ARF I have ever seen. It took about 3...

RE: Mayhem 3D - Radio Failure - Full Throttle staight in

Ouch, I feel your pain. I lost my only 60 sized plane for the same reason (battery got loose) and I agree, the 40s just aren't the same. I am sure by the time I have written this you have ordered a...

RE: Top flight P40 Spinner

I actually like these better than aluminum spinners, they surface and hold paint very nicely and are easy to custom slot. I have tried to epoxy paint aluminum ones but still spun the paint off with...

RE: Big P-51 goes in hard.

I agree 100%. (reversed ailerons) I can't believe people make this mistake. maybe it's a product of people using the same remote for 20 different airplanes. you forget to switch and don't do the...

RE: Big P-47 goes in hard.
