RE: OS 70 in a clipped wing cub

Hi Grey Beard. Was your Cub a clipped wing or a full wing version? My cowl is also a little weighty at 3.6 oz. Think this will be an issue?

OS 70 in a clipped wing cub

Hi,

Currently building a Great Planes J3 cub in the clipped wing version. I was going to power it with an OS 70 four stroke. Will this plane be too under powered? Your comments please.

Hi Bigtim,

I have never ran an engine inverted myself. If its a matter of good tuning, I may try without it first to see how it works.

Hi all,

I am considering mounting my Os72 four stroke inverted in my Great Planes J3 Cub. Besides requiring a glow driver are there any other issues that I should be aware of?
