RE: Extreme Flight 88

First off, GREAT choice for your 1st gasser! You will love it. To help answer some of your questions:
1) DLE55 on stock muffler-> You will not regret it. IMHO, it is the best value on the...

RE: Extreme Flight 88

I go back & forth between the 23B and 23A. Depends on my mood. Most of the time, I like the 23B best...it seems to have a little better "bite" & vertical pull. Both the 23A & 23B are good choices...

RE: Extreme Flight 88

Last time I was out flying the Yak (a few weeks ago), I heard a weird noise as I was pulling into a low hover. I landed immediately and discovered that the spinner and prop bolts were loose! Oops. ...

RE: Extreme Flight 88

I would think that if the fuse is crooked/twisted/warped, the rudder/vertical stabilizer would be square with the horizontal stabs, but would not be square in relation to the wings. If it were a...

RE: Extreme Flight 88

Thanks. I run a single 2300mah A123 through a Fromeco Kodiak switch to power the rx (AR9000) and a 4.8v NiMH (~2000mah) on the ignition. No regs, PE's, etc. Just the basics. I do run an optical...

RE: Extreme Flight 88

Well, it's no Joe Airport Production :)...but here are a few clips of my Yak from Monday. The camera is a bit shaky and I suck at editing, but it was fun anyway. Hope y'all enjoy.

RE: Extreme Flight 88

Hey, Joe! Great video! I like all the effects & transitions. Very cool. I need to learn how to do some of that video editing stuff. Now, I'll have to wait a while before posting some video of...

RE: Extreme Flight 88

Well, I finally got a decent day of flying in on Monday. It has been way to long. Here are a few pics. I even did my own form of "LG springiness testing" :)

RE: Extreme Flight__88

I have no problems with the outer hole locations.

What prop are you running? I have found that different props can have a huge effect on the plane's response & controll surface effectiveness in...

RE: Extreme Flight 88

Personally, I haven't run any Futaba servos bigger than their standard size sport models, so I can't comment on how their better offerings compare to the 7955, but...

The gears are very nice in...

RE: Extreme Flight 88

I'll second the velcro recommendation. I had an intermittent "rudder jitter" and did the velcro trick...totally perfect now. I even happened to have some red colored velcro that matches my plane...

RE: Extreme Flight 88

Like Mr. Airport said, sounds like it's time to tweak the needles. Also, don't forget about balancing the spinner (if you run one) and don't just do a lateral balance on the prop...balance the hub,...

Joe - that bag looks awesome! So, can you just slide the wings in from the top (handle side)...without having to open them all the way up & take up an entire table, like I have to with the hobby-pak...

RE: Extreme Flight 88

Joe, that's exactly how mine is set up & it has been going strong for over a year as well. I wonder if they got a "bad batch" with loose set screws or soft threads? It seems weird to have two guys...

Thanks for the responses guys.

Joe, I've also had the hobby-pack bags in the past. They protect just fine, but I found them very cumbersome to use at the field...taking up an entire table to...

RE: Extreme Flight 88

Does anyone have experience with Wingtote wing bags? I'm looking to replace the stock silver EF bags...they've worked great for ~ 100 flights, but are starting to get worn where the servo linkages...
