RE: tail servo for XL HDE

Consider the HDS-577 or 877.
Both are digital MICRO servos and price around $35-40, and work nicely.

RE: LIPO Battery Pack Swelling

Love the DN batteries...no problems at all and work great. Others I've talked to like them as well.

RE: anyone have any landing skid end caps?

Hmmm, I'll have to take a look. Did you have to buy the skids as well?

RE: BALL LINK PLIERS?

You'll definitely want to get yourself a pair of ball link pliers. Once you build the heli, you're going to need to do a lot of adjusting, and they make it so much easier to do. Plus you won't damage...

RE: anyone have any landing skid end caps?

I know they aren't required, I just like the look with them in better than without.

RE: WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THIS T-REX?

They will fit, but you have to drill a hole inbetween the mounting holes on the servo to coincide with the holes in the frame.

RE: I CHANGED THE T-REX!

Not a bad price, except the 25A esc won't last long....can't handle the amperage. If it's an unassembled kit (assume it is), you'll need to put the pinion on.

RE: 401 Gyro, Tail Pitch Slider questions

georgeb3dr,

I'm getting the exact same problem as you...same set up and everything. I think the linkage rod is binding in the black plastic part under the wing on the tail boom. I tried lubing...

RE: Help with new 450SE setup please...

Cool, glad it worked out. I second Radd's School of Rotary Flight. I also preferred the training gear...makes the heli a little less sensitive.

ptarp,

No, it doesn't. But, it's a good starter charger/balancer combo, and a great deal.

The DN Power Lipo charger/balancer works very nicely. You can get it in a combo with two, 2150mah batteries for I think $129 at Readyheli.com. I recently purchased this combo and am...

RE: No bug splats on your blades??

Brian,

Thanks for the info. I think I have CRC silicone spray that I bought at Walmart. I'll check there first, since I'm in that place a lot (not by choice). I'm going to give it a shot.

RE: No bug splats on your blades??

Endeavor, where can I buy that at? I like the idea of a dry lube. I've been using silicone spray on my main gears.
