RE: Confused about diffs

When i turn them there is vibration. I removed the shims to let the spider gears spread more and reduce the tightness. When i turn them to test for resistance, should i grip the houding and turn...

RE: Confused about diffs

I'm assuming the gaskets are the blue paper seals. They are in good shape and the diffs are broken in. I was running the stock grease and decided to change to oil. I redid the diffs this morning. ...

Confused about diffs

I have an 8ight buggy and decided to fill the diffs w/ diff oil. I used 5,7,3 (F, C, R). My Center and Front diffs seem to be really tough to turn now. They are not smooth like before and seem to...

RE: Giving up on LST2 and Nitro - Please help!

Not an expert but that happened to my lawnmower and i changed my spark plug and sure enough that was the culprit. Could also be pre-detonation if you changed plugs or higher nitro fuel and you...

RE: Inconsistent idling (motor racing)?

Ok, finally, I found that I did in fact had an air leak. Two air leaks, actually. My gas tank was cracked and the engine was leaking from the backplate. I gooped the backplate and put in a new...

I'm running the LSN at factory setting - 2 turns out. What else? No one else has experienced this type of issue?

RE: Giving up on LST2 and Nitro - Please help!

Inconsistent idling (motor racing)?

Does anyone have an idea what would be causing my engine idle to be inconsistent? I set the idle to where it almost wants to engage the clutch and it idles ok for a minute or few minutes, but it...

RE: Weird ringing noise on CRT .5

Dumb question....(another), is that why they call it a clutch bell, cause it rings? I don't hear that on my LST2. I thought it was odd. It only does it when the car is tilted up so the bell...

Weird ringing noise on CRT .5

I have a wierd ringing noise that is heard on my CRT .5 when I roll the back wheels. If I roll just the front wheels, no noise is heard, but when I roll the back wheels there is this sound like a...

RE: Why?!?!?!?!?!?

I dont know about that. My temps are not exceeding 240, so not sure how that can be happening. I'm less than 1/4 turn away from factory on the HSN and factory on the LSN, so not sure how I could be...

RE: Why?!?!?!?!?!?

Ok, so no one answered the original question. Why does the engine not want to restart after it's been running? I'm having the same problem with a new new LST2. The engine will run fine at first,...

RE: Giving up on LST2 and Nitro - Please help!

Ok, you guys rock! I was going to wait for the new tank but I'm going to seal it tonight.

So, I couldn't wait today and I went to run the truck. It started fairly easy this time, but my...

RE: Giving up on LST2 and Nitro - Please help!

You should Horizon support and they'll send you a new one. They didnt even ask how long I had, where I bought it, etc. They were great. They're even sending me some quality fuel tubing. Also, is...

RE: Giving up on LST2 and Nitro - Please help!

Ok, so I read all you guys' advice closely, revisited some tutorials and I had a much better outing today. Although, I ultimately discovered that my fuel tank was bad. The little round red rubber...

RE: Giving up on LST2 and Nitro - Please help!

I thought that too, but the Mach 27 manual states specifically that the "MC-59 is the absolute best plug for this engine", so I'm using that one. Do you think a medium-hot plug would help my...

RE: Giving up on LST2 and Nitro - Please help!

I appreciate your advice - it's sounds good and I'm not to worried as I can always send to Losi like you said. Another thing I noticed is that my fuel tank smokes. When I refuel, I open the tank...

RE: Giving up on LST2 and Nitro - Please help!

I don't run at 265-270 constantly, that's just as hot as I've seen it run. I usually stay around 230. I'm using McCoy 59 plugs already. Is there a good way to test for air leaks? I made sure...

RE: Giving up on LST2 and Nitro - Please help!

BTW...what causes compression loss (premature)? It's basically new so why would it lose compression already? I haven't run it lean at all. Temps have never exceed 265-270.

Giving up on LST2 and Nitro - Please help!

RE: Official Thread for X1 CRT .5 Truggy

Time to revive the thread. I just got one (yeah, a little late to the party). I just got a Pro with SH .12 Turbo, JR servos, and extra tires for $180 (no radio). I think that was a good deal (I...
